I recently took their Avid Dolby Atmos Certification course after spending the last 6 years helping design, build and tune immersive rooms. I wanted to expand my understanding of workflows and best practices so I could be more helpful to my clients. Not only did I do that, but I picked up a ton of other useful pieces of information along the way that have already saved me a ton of time.
I can't recommend this course and the team at ProMedia enough.

Pro Media Training was an excellent experience for my AVID Pro Tools Dolby Atmos Certification. Eric was an excellent instructor and as pro tools and our workflows evolve with new versioning all the time; I really appreciated this context being highlighted and taken into consideration when studying. Took the Dolby Atmos certification class, and the facilitators and professor were great -- super thorough, helpful, and knowledgeable. Communication was quick, easy, and well-informed. Excellent training program! It's really helped me understand the user interface for Pro Tools, which has so many functions and features that it can be daunting to learn on your own. I work as a sound technician for a college theater department, and I have been playing guitar for almost 20 years. This course has shown me how much utility this software can have both in my professional work doing theatrical post-production, as well as in my personal life doing music production.
My instructor was Mihai, who was very pleasant to work with and incredibly knowledgeable. He gave thorough yet easy-to-understand answers to every question asked by the students in our class and always encouraged students to ask questions whenever he went over a new concept. Jenna, the school's operations manager, is incredibly helpful in the registration process and explains everything you need to know to get ready for the course.
Even after you complete the course, the school offers (and highly encourages you to come for) exam review sessions and the opportunity to sit in on other class sessions for 12 months after the course you registered for so you can feel as prepared as possible to take Avid's certification exams. Since there's so much to learn, I would highly recommend taking advantage of this offer for extra reinforcement.
I would recommend this course to anyone who was interested in learning a DAW or getting Pro Tools certification. If I get the chance to move on to 200-level certification, I will definitely be returning to them.

I recently completed training with ProMedia earning my Avid Pro Tools Certified Specialist credential. The experience was outstanding from my first conversation with Jenna through the hands-on training with Mihai.
Jenna graciously answered my pre-enrollment questions and spent time explaining how my previous experience with Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro and Audition would be beneficial. The process to enroll was simple and straightforward with clear communication both before and after the course.
The Pro Tools training exceeded my expectations and prepared me for the certification exam. My training was well organized and in-depth yet, felt relaxed and un-rushed. Mihai is an exceptional instructor who explains concepts clearly and concisely and never minded pausing for a question.
I had already been working with Pro Tools before class started and it helped me understand the concepts covered in class. Additionally, the quality of the instruction gave me the confidence to experiment and discover the tools on my own.
I'm currently enrolled to start another training course for the next certification and I look forward to meeting and learning from another Promedia instructor.
On a side note, the stories and real world examples Mihai gave helped reinforce not only how professional production works, but why it works that way. It was a pleasure and hard not to learn from seasoned professionals who have worked in music / post-production for decades.
Excellent experience and I cannot recommend the team strongly enough. Well worth it!

I had such a great experience with ProMedia Training. I first took the in-person class with Mihai Boloni, and found it absolutely inspiring. As a refresher, I took the online course with Frank Cook. Equally inspiring, and such a different look at the 101 and 110 course work. I'm looking forward to getting certified and moving on to the 200+ courses!

I’ve been a recording engineer since 2007. When I joined ProMedia Training, I quickly realized how much of a recording engineer I wasn’t. And even though I’ve been using Pro Tools since then and learned a ton on my own and thru a mentor I had at the time who also taught me a lot… I realize now that I was really just getting by so that I can record and edit our music and release it as fast as possible because I was always focused on being the best songwriter/producer/performer and musician I can possibly be. That was my main priority.
I feel extremely fortunate that I found ProMedia Training because my skills have accelerated at a very undeniable speed.
I told myself that I was going to get this certification no matter what happens. And here I am now… officially certified as a Avid Pro tools Specialist officially thru Avid Technology, which I am a big fan of.

I recently completed the Pro Media Pro Tools 100 Fundamentals online course and am thrilled with the results. Terron, a seasoned music production veteran, was an exceptional instructor. His patient, friendly teaching style, and hands-on demonstrations made complex concepts easier to grasp. The homework assignments, which included tasks like multi track recording, creating MIDI tracks, and basic looping/mixing, solidified my understanding.
I particularly appreciated the in-depth coverage of automation, how to customize the program for different production scenarios, and the shortcuts we learned from Terron, who has learned them throughout his career.
The ability to retake the course for a year is a huge plus and demonstrates Pro Media's commitment to student success.

My name is Justin Bowen, and honestly without Pro Media Training and their Pro Tools training, I wouldn’t have found my footing and place in the audio engineering industry. Originally working at the Record Plant Recording Studios in LA, a legendary studio with amazing records lined throughout its history, I feel without my pro tools training of 101/110 , I would have never worked my way up from a runner to assist engineer so quickly. Since Record Plant recently closed down, I'm working at Volume studios and other major studios too, as well as working as an independent audio engineer. In the midst of that, I decided to go back to ProMedia training this month for my refreshers too, because their refreshers are critical to keeping me on top of my game and on top of the latest technologies in Pro tools, and with how helpful and effective all the instructors are I look forward to learning Dolby Atmos mixing soon too.

I'm an assistant recording engineer based in Manhattan and recently completed the April 2024 online Dolby Atmos Certification with Pro Media. Overall, the experience was fantastic. The hospitality by Jenna prior to enrolling and through the course was great, Mihai was excellent with the email communication and certification exam, and Eric was a fantastic instructor who was thorough with his presentations + practical with the real-world applications of the material.
