Stopped here for a quick lunch while passing through and was greatly impressed by the staff (who were beyond friendly and so pleasant to talk to), the atmosphere (cute breakfast nook and gorgeous outdoor area to eat on the patio surrounded by gardens and a river), but especially the food! Our sandwiches were worth every penny! Fresh ingredients, made to order, and packed with flavour. We’ll definitely be returning.
The historical building itself is stunning too!

This is truly an amazing hidden gem that captures the unique taste and charm of the countryside. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed by the friendly and attentive staff who make you feel right at home. The coffee is rich and flavorful, the sandwiches are fresh and delicious, and every bite feels made with love. What makes this place even more special is the picturesque backyard — a peaceful oasis with a breathtaking view of the Credit River. It’s the perfect spot to relax, enjoy good food, and soak in the beauty of nature. A wonderful place worth visiting again and again!

If you’re looking for a trip to yesteryear, a short drive to Cheltenham is in order, and dropping in at the Cheltenhan General Store is a must. The staff are all amazing, the coffee is AWSum, and with sandwiches and ice cream cones on the menu, you can enjoy eating in, or out on a deck overlooking a beautiful yard on the river. One of my favourite places to go and get away for a few hours of relaxation. A truly unique experience!!!

Excellent store in my community. I go there often to drop off my packages at the post office and buy stuff from the amazing store, they have everything you need including fresh homemade food. Debbie who works there is very friendly, courteous, helpful and a real good person who always has a smile and friendly. Thank you one of my favorite stores to visit.
The store is nice but the lady behind the counter this past Sunday was just plain rude. She acted like we were inconveniencing her by asking for ice-cream. I hate leaving a bad review for a small business but the attitude she gave us for taking thirty seconds to decide what flavour of icecream we wanted was ridiculous.

Great store. I have been buying caps from this store and have to admit I have become a great fan of their Cheltenham caps Taft they carry. Today I bought a cap in honour of their local hockey team. A great place very Nostalgic and friendly staff. Very friendly. I love their coffee too. One surprise I got last year was that I found a beautiful Ganesha idol in the store and bought it.
Definitely a store to visit and I will be visiting this place each year
