Wife read about this restaurant on trip advisor and it was highly recommended, so we tried it on the fly and we were not disappointed.
Decor was lovely and the vibe was very welcoming, staff were very friendly and on arrival we were given a glass of carver while we decided on our food and drink choices. The service was attentive without being intrusive, the other diners were also very friendly which added to a very enjoyable experience. The menu wasn't overwhelming, and we thoroughly enjoyed our choices, I'm a big fan of desserts and I must say the pistachio cake was next level ❤️.
We absolutely loved Barcelona and the Gothic quarter, so if you are wandering the gothic quarter and someone shows you a menu for this restaurant don't dally you won't be disappointed 😉
We spent 120 odd euros but we did have a few drinks, cocktails and Baileys, oh and i had 3 desserts 🍨

Short walk, wonderful meal
This restaurant came highly rated by former patrons and was only 3 minute walk from my hotel so I thought I'd give it a try. Being the screw up that I am I couldn't get in the front door because I was pulling and not pushing but there was no sign so I'm using that as the excuse. The waiter saw me trying to get in and came and open the door for me he gave me some suggestions on what the better meals were in the menu and brought me a complimentary glass of Cava. Cava is the bubbly white wine made by the Montserrat monastery monks but is now called kava because you can't call anything champagne that isn't made in Champagne, France. It's delicious. I decided to have a cover sangria made for my dinner and I decided on the deep fried Camembert cheese with a side of mashed sweet potatoes (delish!) for my appetizer and I had the black paella for my entree. I was nervous about trying The Black paella having never had it before. But the waiter told me that it was better than the seafood paella so I thought I'd give it a try. It was also delicious, it's basically cuttlefish ink rice and chopped up squid. The atmosphere was really nice. I met a couple from the UK who asked me if I was by myself and invited me to sit with them and I told them I was traveling alone and yes I know eating dinner looks weird by yourself but I'm used to it and I prefer to go ahead and eat alone. But we talked and enjoyed each other. They had 60s oldies on the soundtrack including "Hair!" from the Broadway musical of the same name. I know I'm dating myself but it was really fun to hear that music. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone coming to Barcelona and especially anyone staying in the gothic quarter or on the La Rambla. It's worth the short walk.

Une tellement bonne surprise, un petit resto dans une ruelle cachée, un service impeccable, des plats savoureux ( je recommande le camenbert roti), une très jolie déco, très très bonne ambiance, merci à Pablo et son équipe ! Hidden Gem in the Gothic Quarter
As was the theme of part of our trip, we were on our way to a more Instagram famous place, saw the line and said “f-that.” We came across this restaurant instead in search of paella. The ambiance was super inviting and intimate for being in a high tourist area. The standards music and old movie theme were super fun. The service was great, especially by our mustachioed waiter who also happens to have an amazing singing voice. It honestly felt perfect for our anniversary dinner. The food was excellent. My seafood paella was chalked full of fun little sea creatures and the wine was fantastic. It was honestly our favorite dinner of the trip.

Jedna z najlepszych restauracji w jakich byłem. Dlaczego? Nie chodzi tylko o jedzenie, które jest naprawdę świetne, czy drinki, ktore nawet podawane z poza karty sa przygotowane genialnie. Obsługa - fantastyczna i w pełni profesjonalna. Ale chodzi o to, ze to miejsce pozawala też odpocząć od zgiełku i naprawdę sie zrelaksować
