Thomas did an excellent job on our half bath remodel. He was always courteous, prompt and great communicator. Thomas went beyond the duties of a general handyman. Covered our hardwood floors, fixed the turn off water valves under the sink because they were beginning to corrode, cleaned up every day with vacuum. The bathroom turned out beautiful. I would highly recommend Thomas and Schloegel for future projects in your / our home. Also our design consultant Paige was very skilled and qualified. She made the remodeling of our bathroom so smooth and easy. Paige sent me suggestions on countertops, bathroom cabinets, lighting, and wallpaper. This way I had choices before we went to look . She had excellent taste and knew my style. Made the bathroom remodel enjoyable. Absolutely love the result.

The Schoegel Handyman crew always delivers. Their careful scope of work helped us, as homeowners, understand what was needed. When the crew was able to pinpoint the source of our trouble, the project manager and crew chief gave us a clear explanation of what had happened and how they would fix it. The work was done timely and with care. Crew members are friendly, easy to have in the house, and they always do a great job of cleaning up!

Montana installed a grab bar in our newly remodeled bathroom. He explained the work involved and that put us both on the same page. Work was outstanding.
I had basement repairs made after a water event. drywall repair, painting and new flooring. Casey, Tristan, and Noah did a great job with all of it. Always on time, always let me know what the plan was for the day and were always pleasant and respectful. Excellent job of cleaning and floor protection. I would definitely hire this company again.
They seem greedy and not readily knowledgeable about particular build projects even though they advertise their 40 years of experience. I had a visit about 10 months ago and asked if an estimate I already received for my bedroom, bathroom and closet remodel of $225k - $260k was comparable with other market prices. After reviewing my home and discussing everything Donna and Ken told me, "Yes, that price is comparable and that they would actually think it would cost about $20k more (STRIKE 1) at most based on my materials and design." Then they said they charge $8k just to begin the design phase. (STRIKE 2)
Fast forward 9 months I decided to use Schloegel for my remodel project and they give me a new estimate for $400k (STRIKE 3) after altering my original design I presented saying it was easier and they told me that my design is difficult and that they would have to figure out how to do the design I presented and that it would cost more than $400k. With 40 years of experience, this was a sentence I would not have thought I would hear come from them. I took my business elsewhere acontacted another remodeling company and was given an estimate of $237k for the exact same project.

As discussions move forward and more details are explored, costs can change depending on scope (especially with an addition), construction approach, materials, and the complexity of bringing a design to life within an existing home.

It allows our team to fully develop the plans, engineering, selections, and construction details needed to build the project responsibly and avoid surprises later. That early investment is meant to give homeowners clarity before construction begins.

We had two projects spanning 9 days; removing a bathtub plus remodeling the space where it had been and repairing an issue in the laundry room.
