Remax Robina was fantastic in dealing with the difficult tenant in a house I recently purchased. The tenant had lived in the property for 10 years, had an emotional attachment to the property and never reported any maintenance issues for rectification. Consequently the place was in a terrible, filthy state when I took ownership - requiring major works and even deemed unliveable by a qualified engineer. Don’t even get me started on the cleanliness! The previous agency never carried out routine inspections, forcing me to find a new manager. Even after being given a copy of the engineers report stating it was unliveable, the tenant refused to accept that the house needed urgent works and despite being given the option to see out her lease after the work was done, she wanted us to wait until she ‘found a new place at her leisure’ before the urgent major works be carried out. Even though it wasn’t legally necessary the tenant was offered compensation as a gesture of goodwill and told we would wait 6 weeks to do the work against the recommended 3 so she could find a place, but she greedily fought for more money, despite knowing she’d have to move out at the end of her lease anyway and had already been searching for alternatives. The real estate agent was extremely helpful under such rare circumstances, issuing a form 12 as necessary and ensuring all legal requirements were followed to ensure the tenant’s safety was first priority. The agency followed the legislation to ensure I was also not being taken advantage of financially and that the tenant was not subjected to live in a property that was unsafe. Thousands of dollars of major works were needed and carried out to bring the house back to a liveable standard and the unpredictable response of the building/plumbing prompted additional repairs when they were carried out, before anyone else was able to move in. (This happened two weeks after the work and tenant moved out not 48 hours as falsely stated in her 1 star rating). Remax Robina is an agency who follows the legislation to the letter. Legislation that is in place for tenants and landlords alike so it is fair for all. Don’t hesitate to hire them for your property management.
Best agent around. I have known Charl for over 10 years so when it came time to sell our investment property I didn't hesitate to use him. He was fair and knowledgeable and always had our best interest at the forefront of the transaction.

Jake made the process of buying a new house as easy as possible. My partner and I had been on the search for the perfect property for us for a while. From the first time I spoke to Jake on the phone, I knew we were in good hands. Jake was professional, but also friendly, and was able to assist us in buying a house we loved. As a buyer, it can be easy to feel like the agent works for the seller and you are just part of the transaction. However, Jake managed to handle everything in a way that not only made us feel supported, but also clearly displayed his intention to get a strong result for the seller. I was very happy with his services and would not hesitate to suggest his work to anyone I know.
My dealings with Remax Regency Robina were extremely distressing right from the outset of their property management. After nearly a decade in my rental, the property was sold to a new owner who made it clear they wanted to move in as soon as possible. Even though I still had seven months left on my lease, I was served a Notice to Leave on the grounds of Unliveability. Remax and the new owner cited safety concerns, yet the new owner was living in the property within 48 hours of my departure.
I was excluded from discussions regarding 'fair compensation', and Remax actually revoked a previously agreed 25% rent reduction (which I’d requested due to the property’s supposed unliveability), insisting the compensation deal covered everything. Ultimately, I received $3,000 and was pressured to sign a waiver, despite my costs being at least double that, as a result of the early termination of the tenancy agreement. To add insult to injury, Remax tried to justify charging me half a day's rent because the property changed hands at 2pm, even though I'd already paid rent in full until midnight, as confirmed by the former managing agent. When I asked for a half-day rent adjustment upon vacating by 3pm, Remax refused, claiming they don't split rent payments.
Remax also accused me of breaching the required bond amount, stating it should have been $3,000. I'd paid a $1,960 bond ten years earlier and was never asked to top it up, even as the rent increased over time.
Repeated requests for information and supporting evidence went unanswered. There are further examples I could share, but I believe this account of my experience provides enough insight for others to judge Remax’s conduct and integrity. I am submitting a detailed complaint to six federal and state government agencies, as I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone else.
