I really wanted to like this place and find a new local gem however, the iced latte I ordered did not live up to the amazing atmosphere Refuge offers. The cinnamon rolls we ordered, amazing, 10/10.
Definitely tweak the espresso machine and pour the same love you give to the pastries into the coffee and this place could be a powerhouse.

Yet another super cute hidden gem of a coffee place! And they have beer, too. Enjoyed a latte flight (chai, hazelnut, & vanilla) & some of their signature pop-tart pastries. Love that there are indoor & outdoor seating areas (outdoor area dog friendly 👍🏻) & even a play area for the kids. Thanks for a pleasant experience! Super fantastic & will be back!

Woke up feeling like my brain had been tumble-dried on high heat. I needed caffeine like a reality show needs drama—immediately and in unhealthy amounts. I stumbled into this café like a raccoon hunting for a Red Bull in a recycling bin. The vibe? Pretty nice. Warm lighting, decent decor, smelled like potential.
Then came the Café au Lait.
Friends, I don’t know what I drank, but if sadness had a flavor and was brewed in a rusty radiator, this was it. I’ve had more life-affirming sips from a gas station where the coffee was served from a machine wheezing its final breaths. This cup tasted like regret and warm dishwater had a child. Honestly, if you served this to a French person, they’d just sigh, drop their baguette, and walk into the sea.
I still got my caffeine, but at what cost? At. What. Cost.

That’s not the experience we aim to serve with any cup. One of our baristas has described a café au lait as the most mid coffee drink you can choose; it's like a poor man's latte, so getting it to taste amazing is gonna take some serious barista magic.
But hey - We’d love a chance to make it right. Next one’s on us if you swing back by — and we’ll make sure it tastes like something the French may find worth staying on dry land for.

Decided to stop by on a whim this past Sunday. Refuge is a cute hidden gem! It was especially busy when we came in (one friendly barista working), so wait time was a little long. However, I enjoyed my coffee and look forward to coming back! Hopefully, there will be non-fat/fat-free milk options in the future 😊.

Stopped in on a whim and was very pleased. Atmosphere seemed really nice and server was friendly and informative. I need to see the place at night to get a good, overall feel, but first impressions are tops.

I cannot say enough how incredible this place is.
The staff is wonderful. They are attentive and engaging. They know what they are doing and offer great suggestions and yet listen.
The atmosphere is wonderfully full of life and noise and yet easy for study and games and family.
The pastries as great and having food trucks is a huge plus. It’s always busy and there frequently events. We love it here.
