Three and a half weeks, on time, on budget. Tony was the point of contact and he was good, reachable, came by personally more than once. When a small issue came up with the plumbing rough in he had it sorted same day. The referral paid off and we've already passed the name along to someone else.
Countertops were granite, colour my wife picked out and spent a lot of time on, and they came back from the fabricator and fit exactly right. Backsplash was subway tile laid in a herringbone pattern and the tile setter clearly knew what they were doing because it looks really clean. Pot lights replaced the old ceiling fixture and the kitchen is genuinely bright now which it never was.
A coworker had her kitchen done by Red Stone Contracting last year and kept telling me to call them. I kept meaning to and finally did and I'm really glad. Our kitchen in Scarborough was small, dark, closed off and hadn't been touched in probably twenty years. Time for it to go. The consultation was easy. They came out, measured everything, listened to what we wanted and were realistic about what was achievable in the space without overselling. I appreciated that because some contractors will just tell you yes to everything and then the reality hits later. Demo was fast and clean. Once the old stuff was out you could already see how much better the layout was going to be. They reconfigured where the upper cabinets sat to give us more natural light and it made a big difference. New cabinets went in straight and solid, every door lined up perfectly.
We're in Mississauga and weren't totally sure Red Stone Contracting came out this far but they do and we're really glad. Our kitchen needed a full gut and redesign, new layout, new everything. We got a few quotes and theirs was fair and the most detailed which is usually a good sign. Tony was our contact throughout and he was responsive and easy to deal with. Any question we had got answered same day. When we had a concern about the cabinet alignment mid install he came out personally to look at it and sorted it out on the spot. That kind of thing matters. Kitchen renovation done right, budget respected, no weird surprises. We actually enjoy cooking now which wasn't really happening before. Already passed the number along to two people at work who are thinking about their kitchens.
We needed a few rooms refreshed as part of a broader home renovation and the work came out great. Flooring, trim, and some wall restructuring were all handled cleanly. The crew worked efficiently and Shukri was always quick to respond when we had questions or needed to adjust something during the project. Pricing was honest and in line with what other contractors quoted us.
Kitchen reno done in under three weeks, I genuinely didn't think that was possible. Tony kept it moving and the crew knew what they were doing so there was barely any downtime. New cabinets, backsplash, island, lighting, all of it. Looks like a completely different house. My wife keeps saying she can't believe it's the same kitchen. Three weeks. Still can't get over that.
We've lived in our Scarborough home for twelve years and for about eight of them the basement was this unfinished space we just threw stuff into. The main floor was functional but tired, old flooring, bad lighting and a kitchen that hadn't been updated since probably the nineties. We finally did something about it. Red Stone Contracting was recommended by someone in our neighbourhood who had their basement done by them the previous year. We called, got a quote within a week and started planning. Shukri was our contact from the beginning and he was thorough and easy to deal with the whole way through. Basement came first. Full finish, proper egress window installed correctly which I know matters in Toronto for legal bedroom status, a bathroom, a rec room, good lighting throughout. Everything was done to code and passed inspection first visit. No going back for fixes. Main floor renovation happened after. New wide plank flooring replaced the old hardwood which had seen better days. Kitchen got updated cabinets, new countertop and a backsplash that actually looks intentional. Lighting was redone throughout with pot lights on dimmers. The whole floor feels bright and current now. Project ran about eight weeks total and the crew was in the house working properly the whole time. Cleaned up every day, didn't leave tools all over the place, were respectful of the house and of us. That sounds like the bare minimum but some contractors treat your home like a construction site and these guys didn't. Budget was respected, timeline was accurate, and the result is a home we're actually proud of. For families in Scarborough, Toronto or the east GTA who need a home renovation done right and want to work with a team that treats the job seriously, don't wait twelve years like we did.
Shukri managed our kitchen renovation in Toronto from start to finish and the experience was as smooth as a renovation project can be. Red Stone Contracting assigned a dedicated crew to the project and the coordination was seamless. Shukri kept us informed at every stage, was responsive when we had questions, and the result reflects genuine attention to detail. The kitchen is completely transformed. The cabinetry is fitted perfectly, the tile work is clean and precise, and the overall finish is excellent. We've had so many compliments on it since it was completed. Red Stone Contracting is a general contractor in Toronto we would recommend to anyone.
