Highly professional and safety-focused adventure Our tour with Jack was great. It was wonderful that he started us on the easiest, most visible rappel. He was very accommodating to our skill level and we felt very safe. The weather conditions weren’t ideal, and he took that into account. Safety was his priority. He made sure we wanted to continue due to the weather. We are looking forward to our next canyoneering trip. We recommend Jack. We are also very pleased with this company because they accommodated rescheduling our originally planned trip due to weather and they were great at communicating with us.

Amazing canyoneering adventure with Ethan! My husband and I did the full day canyoneering adventure on our first full day of a 10 day trip in Utah, and it was my favorite thing we did! Our guide, Ethan, was AWESOME! He made us feel safe and comfortable, and walked us through each rappel. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

We had an absolutely fantastic experience canyoneering at Lambs Knoll! We’re a family of five-two adults and three kids ages 12, 10, and 7-and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. Our guide, Josh, was outstanding. He was incredibly patient and attentive with all three kids, made everyone feel comfortable and safe, and was professional and knowledgeable throughout the entire experience. He knew exactly when to encourage the kids, when to give them a little extra time, and how to make the whole adventure fun and exciting for everyone. We all had an amazing time and couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Josh truly made the experience special for our family. We would absolutely recommend this experience-and Josh in particular-to other families. No doubt we’ll be back!

Jack was knowledgeable, encouraging, safety-focused, and made the entire adventure enjoyable. The canyon was more adventurous than we expected, but it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. The scenery was stunning, the experience was unforgettable, and we’d absolutely do it again. Amazing canyoneering experience! My family of four went canyoneering with Red Desert Adventure on July 3. This was an absolute highlight of our 9 day trip to Utah. My boys (11 and 13) both agree it was their favorite thing we did. Our guide, Josh, picked us up promptly at our hotel in Springdale and we drove about 30-40 minutes to Lamb's Knoll. We hiked about 10-15 minutes and did 6-7 rappels, which was a perfect amount. Josh was great. We learned a lot about the area and he's clearly an experienced guide. It was awesome that it was just our family so there was very little standing around waiting for a line of people. The park itself was crowded so we so enjoyed getting away from the crowds have having these stunning, quiet slot canyons all to ourselves. This experience was more than worth the reasonable price, and we will 100% book with this locally owned company again if/when we make it back! Great value & team. Book with them! We booked a bachelor party Canyoneering trip in Zion over the weekend. They showed up right on time, picked us up, and were educational, accommodating, and made the trip extra fun. It was the funnest activity in Zion I’ve ever done and have been 10 times to the park.

Couldn’t have asked for a better first canyoneering experience for my 8 yo daughter than a family morning out in Zion with Sunny from Red Desert. Sunny was super encouraging and helped her feel safe during all aspects of technical traversing and rappelling. Now it’s her new favorite sport and we are planning our next canyoneering adventure. A direct quote: “super fun and a little bit scary”. Sunny was prompt, professional, and fun. Equipment was all in good condition. I highly endorse Red Desert and Sunny specifically.

Fantastic We had 2 families with 5 kids aged 9-13. Went out with Jake and Melissa who were absolutely wonderful. Both were amazing guides and great with all the kids. Jake was incredibly calm and talked everyone through the repels - prob the best canyoneering guide we’ve ever had! Melissa was so kind with the kids and kept everyone engaged. We even had the opportunity to split up the group to do harder vs easier repels depending on what people wanted to do. Fantastic experience!

Jack was hands-down one of the best guides we’ve ever had. From the moment we met him in Zion, it was clear we were in expert hands. He struck the perfect balance between professionalism and fun—calm, knowledgeable, encouraging, and genuinely excited to share the experience with us. Rappelling and canyoneering with Jack was both thrilling and confidence-boosting. He explained everything clearly, prioritized safety at every step, and somehow made even the most intimidating drops feel doable (and epic). On top of that, he knew the area incredibly well and added so much context about Zion that made the whole adventure even more special. If you’re considering rappelling or canyoneering in Zion, do yourself a favor and go with Jack. This was a highlight of our Utah trip and an experience we’ll be talking about for years. Couldn’t recommend him more!

Buddy of mine and Josh (tour guide), took me canyoneering! Definitely an introduction to a fun hobby. Josh accommodated us perfectly, was super knowledgeable about zion’s landmarks, had a couple cool stories, and played the perfect role of a third brake. Super down to earth guy, and made my first run ever super enjoyable. No fear when he’s behind the safety rope! 10/10 experience. P.S. Josh will rappel down faster than your eyes can catch up.

Fantastic trip with my daughters! One of my daughters specifically asked to come canyoneering in the Zion area for the holidays. After a bunch of research, we chose Red Desert Adventures because we wanted a private and personalized tour. The front office answered a ton of questions about the trips and timing and anything else we can think of. Our guide, Jack, was fantastic. One of my daughters has no fear of heights and was jumping while rappelling from the beginning. My other daughter was much more reticent. He made sure that they were both comfortable. He was talkative with them and engaging. For one of my daughters, who is into photography, Jack helped her learn how to use her camera better because he had been a professional photographer. We cannot say enough, good things about this company. So glad we chose them!
