my roommates and i walk by here almost everyday and have been dying to go, truly so glad we did!! went with them and my parents and had a stunning time. the service & food was incredible, there was live music and when we passed on dessert they gave it to us for free!! canāt wait to go back

Edit: Recetteās manager reached out to personally offer a complimentary meal in light of my experience. While Iām not ready to give Recette another chance, I appreciated the thought & offer.
Iām so sorry to leave this review, but itās been on my mind since I visited for the first (and last) time in October. I chose Recette for its amazing reviews. My mom was in town and I wanted to take her somewhere nice. Our food arrived and as I was eating, I found a used bandaid stuck to my fork. I have never been so disgusted. My family was also so grossed out that we all were unable to finish our meal. No one took leftovers. I was so embarrassed to have chosen Recette and I will never, ever return. Though they took my meal off the bill, the absurdity of being handed a $100+ bill for a meal that was so deeply disappointing will not leave me.
Recette is nothing short of exceptional. From the moment you walk in, everything, from the atmosphere to the food is executed at the highest level. This is the kind of restaurant that reminds you why dining out can be such a special experience.
Ana-Marija truly elevated the entire evening. Her warmth, professionalism, and genuine care made us feel not just welcomed, but truly looked after. She has that rare ability to make service feel personal and memorable.
Recette has set the bar extremely high, and we will absolutely be returning. Highly, highly recommended!

This restaurant has such a welcoming, cozy atmosphereāit feels like the kind of place you want to linger in. From the moment we walked in, the staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive.
Ana and Osman were amazing, so polite.
Nothing felt rushed, and the whole experience was relaxed and enjoyable.

If you are looking for the perfect atmosphere in Brooklyn, look no further than Recette. The vibe here is absolutely unmatched. Itās the kind of place where you lose track of time because the energy is just so right.
What truly made our night, however, was the incredible staff. Ana, our server, was phenomenal - attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm. She made us feel like regulars on our very first visit. And a huge shoutout to Osman at the bar. His craft is top-tier, and his energy behind the pine really sets the tone for the whole room.
Itās rare to find a spot that balances a cool, sophisticated scene with such authentic hospitality. Recette is a 10/10 in every category. We will be back again and again!
Osman is one of the best bartenders Iāve encountered. He is extremely attentive, fast, and knowledgeable about both classic and custom cocktails. He and his colleagues handled a busy crowd effortlessly while still making each guest feel personally taken care of. The drinks were perfectly balanced, the presentation was on point, and the overall energy they brought to the bar elevated the entire experience. I would 100% come back because of them.
