Update: Came back on 12/17/25 at night for a dinner with my boyfriend and the food was just as amazing as we remembered AND they had a live band playing lovely music the whole dinner. Our server (Ana) made the entire night even better - she was always refilling our water and giving us clean dishes and clean utensils and making sure everything was good for us. Will definitely be back especially on Wednesdays for the live band and for Ana.
Stumbled into this restaurant while visiting a friend in the neighborhood and had one of the most delicious meals in NYC. The service was also spectacular, extremely accommodating and considerate. Never had an empty water glass and the table was always clean in between plates.
Ordered 5 different dishes and not a single one was bland, average, or bad. The escargot was soft and delicious in the sauce and bread. I was nervous for the octopus and potato and tomato dish but my fiancé and I were fighting for the last piece! The steak tartare was also delicious, one complaint would be it needs 1 or 2 more pieces of bread for the amount of tartare (that’s me nitpicking). The beef rib pasta and the veal chop was truly a highlight. We ate it so fast. I didn’t even get a picture.
Found this place by surprise, but will definitely and intentionally be going here from now on.
