My partner surprised me with a birthday adventure to this cool art studio. We had so much fun picking out paints and then pouring them all over the canvas, revealing some pretty amazing art work. A fun thing to do on date night, birthdays or with the kids of all ages in your life. The staff were very welcoming.

There were so many colors to choose from and our instructor was very insightful and still allowed us to do our own thing. I want to start by saying that I was genuinely excited for this fluid art experience. It was meant to be a date, a creative release, a moment to pour my energy into something beautiful. And I did. I created something I was deeply proud of — ethereal, elegant, full of movement and softness.
What I received back, however, was not what I left behind. The piece I picked up was barely recognizable. It was overworked, mishandled, and stripped of all the intentional artistry I’d poured into it. What had soft feathers and graceful lines turned into a flat, muddy swirl with no presence or balance.
And here's the part that stings the most — I sensed it coming. From the moment I started painting, the instructor was overly involved, watching too closely, making comments that felt more competitive than helpful. I brushed it off, assuming she would respect my work. But she didn’t. It feels like my piece was intentionally altered. Whether it was jealousy, ego, or a complete disregard for my vision, the result was the same: my art was ruined.
This wasn’t a “drying” issue. This was human interference.
If you’re someone who actually cares about the integrity of your art — or the space to express yourself freely without someone overstepping — I urge you to reconsider where you go. Because what I experienced wasn’t guidance. It was sabotage.
I appreciate your response, but let’s be honest — that explanation might hold up with beginners, but I’m not new to fluid art. This has been my creative outlet for quite some time, and out of the many pieces I’ve done — both at home and in other studios — none have ever come back looking so completely unrecognizable.
It’s okay to admit when something goes wrong. Mishaps happen. But what I don’t appreciate is being gaslit. I was extremely mindful of the amount of paint I used. I even tilted the canvas myself to pour off the excess — the piece was barely dripping by the time I left. I had to use the runoff just to coat the edges.
My partner didn’t use the studio’s tilting technique either, and their painting came back untouched and exactly as expected. I was deliberate with my design because I had a vision for it — and that vision wasn’t honored in what I received.
I don’t need to be dismissed or lectured on studio technique by individuals who’ve been doing this less time than I have. Let’s not confuse certification with experience.
Thank you again for the refund, but I stand by my review — because that experience, and the disregard behind it, deserved to be called out.

At our studio, we strive to provide a fun and creative experience through instructor-led classes that teach the techniques of fluid art. Our team is trained to guide participants through methods such as layering cups and tilting the canvas which are key techniques that help achieve the desired outcome.
After reviewing the situation, it appears that some of these techniques may not have been fully applied during your session, which may have contributed to the way the paint settled on your canvas. Additionally, we understand that a substantial amount of paint and a wide mix of colors were used, which differs from our typical process and may have affected the final result.
We want to assure you that your painting was not manipulated or altered by our staff. We do not change or redo customer artwork, as each piece is a unique expression of the artist. In this instance, due to the volume of paint, the canvas was left undisturbed to dry overnight, as moving it could have disrupted the design.
We appreciate your feedback, and if there’s anything else we can do to help or clarify, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
