I am writing this review with a heavy heart regarding my repeated experiences at Rabo Restaurant, located inside Century Mall in Deira.
First and foremost, I want to clearly state that the owners of this restaurant are among the kindest and most humble people I have met. Their generosity, politeness, and welcoming nature are the main reasons I continued to visit this restaurant again and again. In fact, it is because of their goodness that I tolerated what I experienced multiple times. They truly represent the beautiful spirit of hospitality that we see in the United Arab Emirates.
As a Person of Determination, I have always felt respected and honored throughout the UAE. This country has given us dignity and recognition, replacing the word “disability” with strength and determination. Everywhere I go, I feel valued — which makes what happened here even more painful.
On three different occasions, I was treated in a dismissive and disrespectful manner by one specific waitress. My concern is not with the restaurant as a whole, and absolutely not with the owners. My concern is specifically with this individual’s behavior.
The first time, when I politely asked to charge my mobility device near my seat, the plug was removed and I was simply told it was not allowed, without explanation or alternative. Recently, while dining, I was told to stand and move from my seat in a way that felt abrupt and inconsiderate. These actions may seem small to some, but to a Person of Determination, they carry emotional weight.
I want to be very clear: the owners are good people. Very good people. That is why I kept coming back. But this particular staff member’s behavior is harming their reputation and creating an experience that does not reflect their values.
I hope management gives serious attention to this matter. Respect, empathy, and awareness are essential — especially in a country that sets a global example in supporting People of Determination.
This review is written out of respect for the owners and hope for improvement — not out of anger.

At Rabo Restaurant, every single guest who walks through our doors is deeply valued, respected, and welcomed as part of our extended family. This is especially true for those who become part of the Rabo family through their continued trust and presence.
First and foremost, we want to express our sincere appreciation for your kindness in recognizing the spirit and intentions behind our restaurant. Your respect means more to us than words can express.
Regarding the charging socket installed near the wall, we would like to clarify that this particular outlet is connected to equipment such as the coffee machine and other operational devices. Unfortunately, the visible cable was installed with limited capacity for temporary operational use, and drawing additional voltage from that socket may create potential safety risks. For this reason, our staff may have acted with safety concerns in mind. However, we fully understand that this situation should have been handled with greater care, explanation, and consideration.
More importantly, we are deeply saddened and sincerely sorry to learn that you felt dismissed or disrespected in any way. This is not who we are. This is not what Rabo stands for. Respect, empathy, and dignity are values we hold above all else.
The United Arab Emirates is a country that has given all of us dignity, opportunity, and respect — and we carry those same values in our hearts and in our restaurant every single day. It is our responsibility and honor to reflect those values to every guest without exception.
Please know that your experience has been taken seriously. We are addressing this matter internally to ensure that every interaction reflects the warmth, awareness, and respect that you deserve.

Loved the way the only girl at reception handles the customers by welcoming them with a smile, taking orders n serving every table single handed. Great customer service. She explained every order to us n what we got complimentary. The persian kebabs were succulent n freshly made served with persian rice n burnt rice which is the delicacy. The salad platter was just excellent. Loved their barley soup. Wanted a second helping but was so full. The sweet dishes were excellent. Planning to go again to just hv thr sweet halwa n tea. The owners themselves were attending to the customer n checking on them . It was great talking to them. One needs visit this place soon, they are moving to business bay soon. I loved this restaurant n it's different dishes served here.
