We had a very nice dinner here. The succulent sea bass went very well with puy lentils. Hubby absolutely loved his burger. It was very thick and extremely flavoursome. Service efficient and friendly. Highly recommended!

Lovely luxury-style spot on Wootton Bassett High Street. Great for lunch or just a coffee break. I had a solo coffee break there. My espresso was a bit too strong for my taste, but it was nicely served with cantuccini which was nice touch. Table serving made the atmosphere a little posh. Quiet and relaxed place perfect for a first date, a family lunch or simply treating yourself to a tea or coffee instead of going to Costa.
If you are not local, I recommend parking at Sainsbury’s and walking over, as parking directly on the High Street isn’t very convenient.

This was a great find in Devises. The food was delicious. The slat and pepper Cala erm was a great starter. The mains were very good, especially the sage and butternut risotto which had a great flavour. The desserts were very good and a great end to a good meal.
The wine selection offered a nice variety of interesting wines
The service was relaxed and balanced. Every establishment has their own unique approach. This is one of them.

We had a fantastic meal at Quercus and thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was lovely and the staff were absolutely fantastic — friendly, attentive and genuinely welcoming.
The décor is really nicely done too, creating a relaxed and stylish setting without feeling pretentious.

I was a little disappointed with my experience at Quercus, although there were definitely some positives.
I went for a nice brunch and ordered Smashed Avocado 'On Marks Bakery Sourdough'. While waiting, I noticed the table right next to us had ordered exactly the same dish, and their breakfast was clearly served on sourdough bread. When mine arrived, however, the bread was completely different.
I asked the server about it and was told that the bread I had been served was sourdough. Unfortunately, I found this quite frustrating because it was clearly different from the bread being served to the table next to us. My partner is a chef who has worked in professional kitchens for many years and has made sourdough bread from scratch, so we are very familiar with the difference between sourdough and brown toast. What disappointed me most wasn't necessarily that they had run out of the original bread, but that I wasn't simply told this when I asked.
There was also a small issue with the order. My partner ordered Wild Mushrooms 'On Toast extra bacon, but instead an extra egg was brought out, so I had to ask for the bacon I had actually ordered.
On the positive side, the eggs were cooked to perfection and tasted delicious. The drinks were also really nice, and the service was friendly and pleasant.
Going forward, I would just appreciate being told upfront if an item on the menu has run out or has been substituted. I completely understand that restaurants can run out of ingredients, and I would have had no problem with being told that the sourdough wasn't available and being offered an alternative. It's the lack of transparency that left me disappointed.
Overall, there were some lovely aspects to the brunch, but I feel the experience could have been much better with clearer communication and honesty about the menu.

We really appreciate your understanding and detailed review. The bread served and in your photo with your review is called "Sourdough Pullman Crunch
Sliced" and comes from Marks Cotswold Bakery. It is a different style sourdough loaf to the rustic crusty loaf, all bread on site is sourdough from the above company and the quality is high, we use both types with our dishes.

Fabulous First Time Experience
We had our first experience at Quercus in Wootton Bassett and were absolutely delighted. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, friendly and welcoming, making us feel completely at ease.
The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting and the food was absolutely delicious on all courses each of us had. We were given a complementary glass of Prosecco to enjoy before our meal to celebrate our wedding anniversary, which made the evening feel even more special. This was a surprise and very much welcome touch offered by Quercus staff.
Overall a wonderful experience from start to finish. We highly recommend Quercus and will definitely be returning!

Lovely place for an iced coffee!
Always love it in Quercus! Great atmosphere and food, good service. Not too busy so I could sit down and get on with work. The staff are very friendly. Well worth a visit if you are in the area
Attended for a friend's birthday after a recommendation following the one in RWB. Unfortunately despite being the same company, both restaurants are completely different including menus. We went on a Sunday in the hope for a roast dinner like the RWB restaurant however there was no Sunday roast on the menu. The menu was very limited to only 5 or so dishes. The food was lovely however, the service was very poor which let it down. There was only one other table there on a Sunday at lunchtime but we seemed to wait a long time for anyone to serve us. The young staff working there were too busy chatting to each other. We had to ask numerous times for glasses to go with our water and waited a long time for these to be delivered to us. We spent near on £300 at this restaurant as a group of 6 and felt let down by the service. For example, pouring our own glasses of wine when we had paid £38 for the privilege! Won't be recommending or coming back in a hurry.

We're really pleased you enjoyed the food, but we're genuinely sorry that the service fell short of the standard we hold ourselves to. What you've described — waiting to be greeted, chasing for glassware, and pouring your own wine — simply isn't good enough, and we completely understand why it left you feeling let down, particularly after a positive experience at our Royal Wootton Bassett restaurant.
You're right that the two restaurants have their own distinct menus, and we appreciate that this wasn't clear beforehand — that's something we'll look at communicating better. We stopped our roast dinners for the summer as the demand drops for them hugely during hot weather, they will be coming back soon though in late September.
