Do not send your loved ones here.
After months of sleepless nights, I finally felt some relief believing my wife would be safe and properly cared for. That confidence lasted only three days. She called me, distressed, saying she no longer felt safe.
When she tried to leave, she was physically prevented from doing so and told her personal belongings would be withheld if she left. The situation escalated to the point where we had to call the police to intervene. When officers arrived, they mentioned they are called to this facility frequently.
That alone should tell you everything you need to know.
If you're considering Dallas Detox Center/Fort Worth Wellness, let me save you the trouble: this place should never be an option for anyone. My experience here was not just disappointing; it was a nightmare that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. Here are the glaring issues that make this facility utterly unacceptable:
1. Deceptive Sales Practices
The first red flag was the blatant dishonesty from the sales team at corporate. I was assured that the facility was open and ready to serve clients. Imagine my shock when I arrived only to find the doors closed and had to join a group across the street at Dallas Detox. This kind of misleading information is not only unprofessional; it’s downright unethical.
2. Delayed Opening
To add insult to injury, I later learned that the facility didn’t officially open until 1.5 weeks after my arrival. This lack of transparency is unacceptable. How can a wellness center expect to provide care when they can’t even get their opening date right?
3. Inexperienced Counselors
I was assigned a counselor who had just graduated from an online university and hadn’t logged a single hour of experience. This is not the level of care anyone should expect when seeking help. The lack of qualified staff raises serious concerns about the quality of treatment being provided.
4. Catastrophic Paperwork Mix-Up
The incompetence continued with a mix-up of my paperwork. This resulted in me being "checked on" every 15 minutes throughout the night. It was torture! Instead of receiving the care I needed, I was subjected to unnecessary stress and anxiety.
5. Medication Errors
On two separate occasions, I was given someone else's medication. This is not just a minor oversight; it’s a serious breach of safety that could have had dire consequences for my health.
6. Property Theft and Damage
They ruined my clothes and allowed another client to break into the locked property closet, stealing $500 worth of cologne. This level of negligence is completely unacceptable.
7. Underage Substance Use
To top it all off, I witnessed underage kids being allowed to smoke vapes and cigarettes. Disturbingly, they even provided these substances for the minors. This not only endangers the health of these young individuals but also reflects a complete lack of responsibility on the part of the facility.
8. Unethical Attempts to Silence Feedback
After I posted a review on Google detailing my experience, a high-ranking staff member reached out to me, asking if there was “anything they could do” to have my review removed. Let me be clear: you cannot mistreat someone for over 35 days, compromise their mental and physical health, and then expect to make it right with a hollow apology. This attempt to silence criticism is just another example of how out of touch and unprofessional this facility is. Instead of addressing the systemic issues, they seem more concerned with covering up their failures.
In summary: This facility’s negligence, unprofessionalism, and complete disregard for the well-being of its clients make it a dangerous and unacceptable choice for anyone seeking help. I strongly urge you to look elsewhere for care. Your health and safety are too important to risk at a place like this.

I had a very positive experience with Laguna View Detox. Getting treatment is never easy, but their team truly makes a difference. The staff are compassionate, professional, and genuinely care about each person’s recovery journey. The beautiful beach location also provides a calm and supportive environment that helps during a difficult time. For anyone seeking help, this facility offers both quality care and a sense of hope.

So glad to hear this Carlo, thank you for sharing!
Dallas Detox was great. It took a little while to get use to and we wanted to leave but Amy (nurse) was great at explaining why we should stay. She was amazing the entire time we were there! She taught us a lot. The entire nursing staff was amazing!!!! (Heather, Cindy, Erica and of course Deb) Sidney was our case manager and she was a delight to work with. She always had us laughing. If there was anything you needed Antoine was the man to go to. He made things happen. Katie was a great therapist. She listened very well and was just a great person to connect with. Rebecca (tech) I can’t say enough about her. She was simply amazing!!! Her smile in the mornings was very contagious. Chris (tech) ran his tail off. He would always listen and help with what you needed! Landon (road runner) was great! He was a pleasant person, always running but always had a smile on his face! If there was any complaints he made sure to deal with them and follow up with you to let you know they were handled. Last but definitely not least there was Chef Nathan (Nathaniel 🤣🤣🤣) he would always go above and beyond for us. We are diabetic and he would make special things for us. His sense of humor was great! If there was something I requested he would make it. Chef Zach was also great. He researched and found diabetic snacks for us. It was great getting to know him. He even played cornhole with my husband. I can honestly say it was the staff that made this place a good place to get help!
