Both of my kids started at Providence Montessori when they were just 18 months old, and I can honestly say it’s been one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. Now, a couple years in, I’m amazed at how far ahead they are socially, emotionally, and academically. They’re confident, independent, and truly love learning.
It is an authentic Montessori environment–everything is set up for the children to explore, learn, and grow at their own pace. It’s not just a daycare with a Montessori label. Ms. Komal really knows the philosophy and lives it every day with the kids.
And on top of that, the environment is just wonderful. My kids love the fact that there are chickens roaming around outside–it makes school feel like such a natural, happy place instead of a traditional classroom. It’s warm, hands-on, and full of opportunities for real life learning.
We feel so lucky to have found Providence Montessori. I recommend it to every parent I know!
I'm a nanny and took care of two kids from different families who attended this Montessori school. I used to drop them off and pick them up every single day, and both children were incredibly kind, smart, and most importantly happy! They genuinely loved going to school.
I truly believe a big part of their great behavior and development came from the values and learning they received at school. I also had the chance to attend several field trips and school events, and I always saw how joyful and engaged the kids were.
Ms. Komal has a real gift for teaching. She's loving, caring, and deeply dedicated to each child. You can tell how much she puts her heart into everything she does.
I had a very positive experience with this school and feel it's only fair to highlight the love and effort that go into making it such a special place.
My 5 year old daughter has blossomed at Providence Montessori! After Covid my husband I knew we needed to find a place for her to connect with other children. She has gone from being a timid and silent observer, to an engaged and exuberant student. After spending weeks touring many local daycares and other Montessori schools in Oceanside, the minute I stepped into Miss Komal's classroom I knew this was the place for us. I've never felt so uplifted in a pre-school environment- filled with natural materials, and seemingly endless educational activities for children to explore independently.
It is a true gift to have Miss Komal's 30 years of experience educating young minds. I love that our daughter learns about other cultures, countries and traditional celebrations around the world.
This school feels like a second family and we wish we could stay here forever & preserve the magic that is Montessori education.
The outdoor classroom spaces are so vary special!! I can't tell you how important it is to us to have our daughter spending so much time outside with new scientific studies now confirming how important outdoor time is for developing minds and for mental health. And the scheduled dance classes and yoga sessions that the children get to participate in weekly are creating a love for physical movement and health.
The additional presence of the classroom chickens (who get to roam around!), the classroom Tortoise and parakeets brings joy and delight to this very special school experience. We look forward to the seasonal rhythms of hatching eggs in the spring, watching the chicks grow all summer, and year round outside field trips to visit horses, farms, ecological preserves, music schools, botanical gardens and more!
It feels like magic to witness my daughter and her class mates rolling out their mats, selecting a school work task or game, playing peacefully & then responsibly rolling up and returning their mats when they're done! It's impressive to say the least! My daughter will often pull out her cleaning supplies at home and eagerly help me clean- all because of the example set at school.
I can't recommend Providence Montessori more!!

A true gem of a school and an anchor in our family’s life.
We are completing our fourth year with Ms. Komal at Providence Montessori Child Care, and I truly cannot imagine a more loving, thoughtful, and enriching foundation for a child’s early years. This school has been a rock for our family—providing consistency, connection, and a deep respect for the natural brilliance and curiosity within each child.
Under Ms. Komal’s gentle guidance, my son began reading at age 3. Now, as he approaches 6, he’s joyfully diving into chapter books and graphic novels with confidence and excitement. He is articulate, emotionally intelligent, socially warm, and incredibly curious—and everywhere we go, people comment on his advanced education and sweet, grounded demeanor. I know this is a direct reflection of the authentic Montessori environment and our collaboration with Ms. Komal.
The community here is small, supportive, and feels like family. I treasure the connection I’ve built not only with Ms. Komal, but with the other children and families. There’s something truly special about having that kind of intimacy and mutual respect in your child’s learning environment.
The outdoor classroom—with its garden and even chickens!—is just one example of the hands-on, nature-centered learning that takes place here. The children spend as much time outside as possible, and both the indoor and outdoor spaces reflect true Montessori philosophy: peaceful, intentional, and child-led.
One of our favorite parts of the year has always been the school events and field trips. Visiting local farms, gardens, and science centers not only brings the learning to life, but also builds a strong sense of community among the children and parents. These experiences have created memories we will cherish forever and added so much joy to our journey.
Providence Montessori Child Care has given my son a powerful and joyful start to life—and given me, as a parent, peace of mind and a trusted partner in his growth. I will be forever grateful for Ms. Komal and the beautiful space she’s created.

Thank you! For being part of our family. Each child is precious and needs to be treated as an individual. The best part of the Montessori environment and philosophy is to arouse an inner desire of learning in a child. It happens in a prepared environment with the skilled directress. Since Montessori teachers are the Directresses. Thank you again.
Three years ago, my first and only child turned two. He was bright, observant, happy, working on developing his motor skills, etc. However, he wasn't talking yet. He could understand what was being said to him, read to him and follow commands but he just didn't have the urge to speak.
Being a first time mom, I was nervous, anxious, scared, questioning whether I was doing the right thing, etc. I took him to the pediatrician who insisted that I relax and try putting my son in a day care for more socialization. I preferred him to be at home with our nanny versus a daycare. She then suggested a Montessori school. So, I went home and started googling Montessori. Loving what I was reading and learning about Montessori, I googled Montessori schools near my home.
Ms. Komal's Oceanside Providence Montessori popped up. After reading a few reviews, I decided to reach out. We set up a date and my husband and I took our son over. Our son instantly loved it, was smiling, warmed up to Ms. Komal quickly, and that was all we needed to enroll him.
We enrolled him part time, two days a week so that we could also keep our nanny. Within two weeks (technically 4 days since he only went twice a week), our son started talking like he had been talking for years. Silly me for being nervous and worried. All he needed was to be around his peers and Ms. Komal and the boy hasn’t stopped talking since, haha!
In all seriousness, we owe so much to Ms. Komal. Her reassurance, guidance and faith in our son, our beliefs, our goals for him, have helped to mold him into the very advanced 5-year-old he is today. Montessori is NOT a daycare. Not that there is anything wrong with day cares or parents who choose that option. I personally feel that because we chose Montessori, our son adapted quickly and began learning quickly. He knew his letters and sounds of the letters before turning 4. The lessons that Ms. Komal puts time and effort into building are fun for the kids. They understand how to work on projects independently and within small groups. Everything is hands on from the science experiments to the art, to the block building, the counting, the pouring of water, the organizing, the cleaning, etc. The kids are learning so much without even realizing they are learning. The field trips are wonderful as well.
Our son is starting kindergarten in the Fall and we will miss Montessori but he will drop in from time to time to help out with the younger kiddos. Choosing Providence Montessori will be one of the best decisions a parent can make for their kiddos.
My 4yr old son goes to Providence Montessori with Ms. Komal. Ms. Komal has helped my son develop independence, confidence, and a genuine love for learning. Her montessori approach supports each child’s individual growth. She uses hands-on activities and her thoughtfully designed classroom environment make learning engaging and meaningful. I’ve seen so much growth in my son in his social, emotional, and academic development. My 4 year old son is reading and it’s amazing to see his progress in just a few months. In addition, I really appreciate the emphasis on practical life skills, which is really important to me not only in school, but at home.
He is learning and thriving at the Providence Montessori with Ms. Komal and I couldn’t be more happier!
My daughter has learned so much more than just ABCs and numbers here, she's grown in confidence, discipline, and kindness. The teachers are incredibly caring, and the environment feels safe and nurturing. She looks forward to going every day and always comes home with something new. Truly a 5-star experience!
