Did the GOLD course Saturday 13th June with a group of 4 other riders.
Kevin was our instructor for the day.
The course covered everything that I myself wanted and the others wanted to cover too, it was an awesome day. 335 km's travelled on highways and some narrow winding unmarked rural back country roads. This course covered all, cornering, emergency braking the lot.
I highly recommend the Pro Rider course.
Kevin and Mark are excellent instructors, and you can learn a lot in the way of setting up for the corners, riding though & the exit of corners, gear selection, trail braking & counter steering, emergency braking. Well worth the time & you can always learn more. Thanks guys

Aaron our instructor was very thorough, covering everything you need to know and more before we set out. It was a great route in spite of the inclement weather. He was very caring and very professional when one our group had a wee mishap( fortunately he was okay).

I have completed the Motorcycle BHS test, the Bronze, Silver and the CBTA-R & CBTA-F tests with Pro Rider Albany. Instructors Mark, Aaron and Blayne were excellent - very professional & experienced, and most importantly, clear communication (with a good humour thrown in as a bonus). I have learned a lot so far and thoroughly enjoyed the experiences, and I am committed to moving on to the Gold course next. Highly recommended!!

Fantastic experience. Mark is an excellent instructor, he's got a good balance of humor and seriousness meaning he's excellent at helping you remain calm during your assessment and still giving you important and detailed feedback to help improve your riding.
Also a big fan of the courses which are a great chance to learn a variety of tips and tricks and gaining confidence on the road in any weather as well as preparing for CBTA.
Greatly recommend for all riders, regardless of skill level.

A great day out with likeminded individuals... there's always something to learn particularly in the scetchy damp conditions today... if the forecast is for rain and you don't like riding in the rain (like me - I melt!!) then "man up" and learn or practice some vital skills you might need if you do get caught out in bad weather!

Great advice, thanks Mike, when better to be under the watchful eye of an experienced professional?
I have worked with pro rider professionally and as a civilian personally over the last 15 or so years.
The depth of knowledge y their instructors is key to helping progress the level of all riders no matter their experience mine included.
There is always something to be gained from every ride to make the next one more enjoyable, relaxing and safer.

Great Ride Forever Gold Course attended again, since it's been a while. Excellent instructor (Aaron Carr), with lots of experience & willingness to share, educate and give an honest assessment.
I have now done multiple courses with Pro Rider, and even as a 47-years+ rider, I learn (or am reminded of) something every time - these refresher courses are proverbially "worth their weight in gold ..."
I can honestly recommend Pro Rider as 1 of the best (if not the outright best) providers of motorcycle skills education in NZ!!
