Having worked in the substance abuse and mental health field for many years, I can confidently say that Project Courage is an outstanding example of how treatment should be provided. Their attention to detail, compassion, clinical expertise, and breadth of offerings are top notch. It is clear their team genuinely cares about the individuals they serve and approaches recovery with integrity and purpose. Project Courage is an excellent choice for anyone seeking meaningful, supportive, and effective treatment.
I used to think they werent nice, But, it was a mixed bag for me. Honestly, I can see how this program will help someone out, because It really can, it did for me to, believe me. But, still, sometimes, the staff would become frustrated with me, and, would even, push me to my limits, and I had no choice but to take it because of the situation I was in. So what can I say, 3 stars.
I wrote this review after a recent stay about Project Courage. This experience was great (an IOPS are not scary) BESt IOP of 4 for me.
Great experience here. Come if you feel your voice is not heard , stick around for the inevitable fellowship, without effort absorb the wisdom and then go home refreshed with "tools'.....try to respond and not react to life's knuckle-balls
Staff is top notch. You get on the on-ramp very quickly you will feel comfortable quick you.

Great program tailored to each individual.
Project Courage has a knowledgeable, caring staff. Many of the employees have experienced addiction in the past, which gives them a great understanding of what folks are going through. They're flexible with scheduling and very helpful for an outpatient treatment program and or In home coaching along with clinicians on staff. A true asset for recovery.
The year-long program that I completed helped me immensely. Coaches in particular helped me because they would take me to meetings and other healthy activities that I would not have done otherwise. The coaches helped me find a good volunteer organization and also accompanied me to court and other alcohol-related appointments.
Project Courage met me at exactly where I was and supported all my needs of recovery. The staff are great and personable. The support was professional, genuine and I never felt as if I was a burden. The year that a spent with the team was well worth my time and commitment. I’m so grateful and living a sober life because of them.
I have recommended Project Courage to multiple people. My experience has been one I will never forget. My journey started after I left rehab Tori Hopkins did my intake. From day one she was very instrumental in guiding my transition. My team consisted of Angie Bolduc, Carina McDermott and last but not least Mickey Meunier. When I first returned home I was a mess, very anxious and unsure of my recovery. My team covered every aspect of my life and they were attentive to all my needs. I had no idea that programs like this existed. They were available for all my meetings, doctors appointments and help with the tasks of my everyday living. Today I am Blessed to say that I am still sober 22 months and counting. Mickey is my angel, my daughter’s love her. She definitely has gone above and beyond the call and I am so grateful. She continues to check on me and is more in tune with my health issues than I am. I will say again I was truly Blessed to have Project Courage in my life and I highly recommend this Organization. Thank you all so very much! 🤗
This is an excellent program. Everyone is kind and supportive. I’d definitely recommend Project Courage
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Project Courage is an amazing place were they help people with addictions. The whole staff is super friendly and supportive to everyone. Most have had their own addiction at some point, so they truly understand you. It’s a safe place for everyone to learn and grow to a better person. All the staff there is like one big family , they welcome everyone. They help me with a counselor, aarpn, personal trainer, sober coach. I could not of done all the hard work without them. (Sobar date may 11 2023. They are like family to me. They also try to make an impact on the local community by having different events throughout the year. The money raised goes to a charitable cause like the food kitchen.
Project Courage! is more like a home away from home. The way your treated when first entering the door, greeted as you always belonged. The team there is amazing and they care so much about each individual.
This is the best Intensive Outpatient program in the area. Many programs rely on repetitive groups with the same therapist, which can become very boring very fast (in the recovery community, we call this “grouped out”). Project courage has yoga, exercise, different types of meditation, and research based therapy groups in multiple modalities of therapy. I even learned a new modality called Internal Family Systems that really resonated with me. All of the therapists are very good and down to earth. I am so impressed by this program and feel so lucky I was connected with them when I needed it the most.
Called here very discouraged and not expecting much, and absolutely made that clear on the phone. Wish I could remember who I talked to, but they said they'd try to get me some help today and I was hopeful-ish but still pessimistic. Then they called back. The same day. They called me back on THE SAME DAY. (communication was a huge issue with places I'd call, which only makes things like anxiety worse, yay). I cried on the phone and for the next couple days, anytime I thought of the situation, but they were happy/hopeful tears finally
Getting help for behavioral/mental health is hard enough, especially when you're currently struggling with issues. And despite behavioral health not being their main focus it means so much that someone listened to the hard time I was having took the time to help with something I have been struggling with and putting off when I feel okay.
Thank you so so much Project Courage, I really needed the help, and to just know someone out there that I don't know cares enough to help the way you did.
I had an excellent experience with Project Courage in Old Saybrook, CT. The team was incredibly welcoming and non-judgmental, creating a comfortable atmosphere during a complex situation. In an industry where many other places treat you merely as a number, Project Courage stood out. Their culture is truly different – they do care about your well-being, regardless if you use their services or not. They made my journey with them seamless and safe, showcasing top-tier professionalism. Most importantly, they made me feel like a genuine part of their family. Highly recommended!
Project Courage is a wonderful place. It's a nonjudgmental, caring place and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to any of my clients.
