This was the first time I took my car to Pro Auto Care . I was skeptical at first of taking it to a new repair place. However my skepticism was quickly removed when I began to deal with the professional staff that is part of Pro Auto Care. They worked on my car and returned it in excellent shape, which was noticeable on my drive away from the repair shop. I couldn't be more pleased with the professional care that I received from the staff and the mechanics.

Brought a vehicle in for assessing an issue. Ascertained the issue was going to be very cost prohibitive and chose not to proceed. Paid a very reasonable charge for the inspection and assessment. Picked vehicle up. End of story. Except, their Marketing strategy following that visit seemed aggressive. I received multiple texts and phone calls soliciting my business. I replied STOP and unsubscribed. I know it can take weeks for unsubscribe requests to take effect, so when I got an email asking for feedback I shared my thoughts on their style of Marketing. Hit send. End of story. Except, I got a call within minutes from the Marketing Dept, which I called out as ironic. The caller was not amused and let me know, seemingly talking over me to make the point, that I had been opted out of communications. And they were compelled to let me know by phone call, rather than have me wonder, helplessly. Anyhoo, if you read this far I am surprised and hope to god you are not driving. I can’t speak to the quality of repair work, but getting a call from a company representative who sounded like they just wanted to get the last word in was unprofessional. Let the reply be swift and petty…

I came to this shop because of the good reviews and sure enough, I get it. Everyone I interacted with seemed like they were having the time of their lives. They were super knowledgable, gave me every angle to consider in making my repairs, and provided clearly trust worthy advice since the advice was to take it to Toyota and get a warranty claim rather than have them knock it out. This is where I’m getting everything done from here on out

Unfortunately I can no longer recommend Pro Auto Care Denver. Unless you are very short on time and specifically know what you need done I'd stay far away. I had a decent prior experience with them doing a timing chain and cooling system flush which they did knock out in less than a day, and I appreciated that service even though it was $2000. Now, my cars been having a slipping transmission, made an appointment and mention the codes that came up then dropped it off. The day before I dropped it off I lost half the gears in my transmission so no reverse or 2nd gear so that was why I dropped it off. The day of my appointment there was no CEL or transmission light, but it was still slipping in and out of gear badly. I explained the issues in person, and they say they'll diag it. Well, I get a message about 90 minutes later focusing on things like "streaky wipers" and that they took my car around the block and it felt fine; they basically said a drain and fill on the transmission and a transmission ECU reset would help. I begrudgingly am left with no options but to authorize it, then they call me back and say the ECU reset is going to be another 300 on top of the 500+ for the transmission fluid and then 200 for the diag. They said the transmission was acting perfectly. I pickup my car at night,and it's literally the Over a grand later I'm left with a car that really didn't need this service. They even have the nerve to ask how it went so I informed them and they didn't even bother responding to that voice message. I called a few Ford shops all of which said the fluid was changed far too early. There was no need to do the Transmission computer reset they said... Edit: I read their response and it's not clear why they want me to bring it back for even more money!!! It's insanity, your technicians clearly did not test ride this car. If they did, why bother unplugging dash cams? This is the only shop I've taken cars to that unplug your dash cam so I cannot even verify if they even drove it. The other big issue is I specifically gave the service writer information about what codes came up the day before I dropped it off, they did not mention anything that I said in the notes. It seems that there's major breakdowns in communication.

When our technician inspected your vehicle, they weren’t able to duplicate the slipping during the test drive. Based on what could be verified at that time and Ford Technical Service Bulletin (TSB 15-0043) for your model, the recommended next step was a fluid service and computer update. Ford outlines this as the first step for the symptoms you described before any major repairs.

We completely understand your frustration that the concern came back. We also want to sincerely apologize for not returning your call on Tuesday afternoon. We understand how frustrating it can be to reach out and not get a timely response. We’d really like the chance to talk through this with you and see what we can do to make it right.
