Es hat einfach wirklich alles gepasst: von der Ausstattung über die Sauberkeit bis hin zum unglaublich aufmerksamen und herzlichen Personal. Die gesamte Anlage ist wunderschön und fühlt sich wie ein kompletter Traum an.
Auch kulinarisch war alles top, die Restaurants sind absolut empfehlenswert. Wer vor Ort ist, sollte unbedingt auch einen Tisch im Sterne-Restaurant reservieren, das war für uns ein ganz besonderes Erlebnis.
Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und wurden jederzeit so zuvorkommend behandelt. Für uns steht fest: Das war definitiv nicht unser letzter Aufenthalt dort!

Wonderful experience, especially Ettore!
A great hotel and excellent spot for exploring Verona and Lake Garda. The experience is all the more magical for the presence of Ettore Diana, bartender extraordinaire, who brings poetry and art to the aperitivo. A maestro of his craft, you will need to devote an hour to the pre-prandial concoctions you’ve never had before but will want to drink forevermore. The perfect introduction to the excellent food at Oseleta, the hotel’s restaurant.
The hotel itself is genuinely beautiful. The grounds are stunning and deserve real praise. Similarly, the bedrooms, while not massive, were comfy and cool, which was highly important given how hot it was outside.
That said, there are several issues that don’t match the price point or the supposed 5-star standard.
Staffing is the main one. Service at breakfast, dinner and the bar was consistently slow: a 45-minute wait for an amuse bouche, long gaps for a wine refill, and at breakfast or the bar we sometimes waited 20 minutes for an order, or had to track staff down just to place one. The staff themselves were pleasant; this felt like an understaffing problem, not a quality one.
The hotel also felt overcrowded for what it’s meant to be. Paying $400-500 a night and still struggling to get a pool lounger isn’t reasonable. This is marketed as a relaxing 5-star retreat, not a resort where you race for sunbeds at opening. I understand it’s peak season, but it undermines the relaxed atmosphere the hotel is supposed to offer.
Some facilities also felt worn or overpriced. The gym is dated and basic, with only one machine that actually works properly, and one AC unit wasn’t functioning, making it unusably hot. Charging 30 euros for tennis on top of already high rates feels like a further hit on guests already paying a premium.
Overall, a lovely albeit slightly disappointing stay given the price and positioning.
Notre séjour à la Villa Cordevigo nous laisse un sentiment contrasté.
Le domaine est tout simplement magnifique. La bâtisse a beaucoup de charme, l’allée de cyprès, les oliviers, les jardins et la piscine composent un cadre exceptionnel. L’établissement est parfaitement entretenu et offre une atmosphère intime avec un nombre limité de chambres. Les chambres sont élégantes, confortables et proposent des prestations de très belle qualité. C’est un véritable havre de paix.
Le personnel mérite également d’être salué. Une mention particulière à l’équipe du petit-déjeuner, qui a été chaleureuse, attentive et d’un grand professionnalisme tout au long de notre séjour.
En revanche, le petit-déjeuner nous a semblé en retrait par rapport au standing de l’établissement. Le choix est varié, mais reste assez classique. Nous nous attendions à une proposition plus créative et davantage orientée vers des produits frais et travaillés. Par ailleurs, l’intitulé « Avocado Toast » est trompeur puisqu’il s’agit en réalité d’une tartine garnie d’une crème d’avocat, qui ne semble d’ailleurs pas être composée uniquement d’avocat. Dans un établissement de ce niveau, les intitulés doivent refléter fidèlement ce qui est servi.
La restauration constitue malheureusement la plus grande déception de notre séjour. Lors d’un premier dîner, une assiette de poissons a dû être renvoyée en cuisine en raison de gambas qui ne nous semblaient pas suffisamment fraîches. Cet incident nous a coupé l’appétit et nous n’avons pas souhaité poursuivre le repas. Dans un établissement de ce standing, la qualité et la fraîcheur des produits devraient être irréprochables.
Notre dîner au restaurant étoilé a également suscité une profonde déception. Le service, en revanche, a été remarquable : une équipe élégante, attentive et sincèrement investie. Le sommelier nous a notamment fait découvrir un excellent vin rouge pétillant, et la carte des vins est particulièrement intéressante.
Malheureusement, la cuisine n’a jamais été au niveau attendu d’une table étoilée. Le menu dégustation a enchaîné les propositions sans relief, avec des associations très classiques et une exécution qui manquait de précision et de créativité. Certains plats ont même laissé une impression de grande simplicité, comme un cabillaud pané accompagné de courgettes, davantage évocateur d’une cuisine familiale que d’une expérience gastronomique.
Le pré-dessert, une simple glace vanille accompagnée de dés d’ananas, paraissait peu travaillé. Quant au dessert intitulé «Napoléon », il a conclu le repas sur une note particulièrement décevante : un feuilletage sec, une garniture insuffisante et une présentation très sommaire: d’épaisses rondelles de bananes grossièrement posées. Ce dessert ne rendait pas hommage à la pâtisserie dont il porte le nom et manquait autant de technique que de finesse.
C’est d’autant plus regrettable que le cadre, et le confort des lieux créent des attentes élevées. Le potentiel est indéniable, mais la proposition culinaire ne nous a pas semblé en adéquation avec le standing de l’établissement, ni avec les tarifs pratiqués.

Alcuni posti servono i clienti, altro regalano emozioni uniche. Cavaion é un terrazzo che si affaccia sul lago, e in questo angolo di paradiso chiamato Villa Cordevigo troverete un galantuomo di nome Ettore che con grande bontà e infinita fantasia sarà in grado di garantirvi delle esperienze e storie meravigliose. Tra il verde del giardino e l’attenzione nei minimi dettagli non vi può capitare niente di meglio che qualche chiacchiera con il bar manager, Ettore. Provare per credere!

Leider keine spürbare Verbesserung
Wir waren in diesem Jahr zum siebten Mal hier. Leider hat sich seit meiner letzten Bewertung aus 2022 nicht viel getan. Der Guest Relation Manger Paolo hat nun auch das Haus verlassen. Nach wie vor fehlt es an der 5* L Serviceleistung. Egal ob beim Frühstück, am Pool oder beim Abendessen. In Teilen eine Katastrophe. Was niemals geht, dass das Personal unendlich mit dem Gast diskutiert. Eine Miesmuschel die geschlossen ist, gehört nicht serviert (bei genau vier Stück auf dem Teller). Unser trauriges Fazit. Wir kommen nicht wieder und wir können es auch nicht mehr empfehlen. Die drei Sterne wie immer für das fleißigen Zimmerpersonal und die netten Jungs aus der Bar.
