A Truly Unforgettable Experience at the restaurant at l’Olivio at Poggio Paradiso resort in Tuscany
We ended up here, kind of on accident and it was an experience I will cherish for a long time. From the moment I arrived, the warm and welcoming atmosphere made me feel right at home. The food was absolutely phenomenal—each dish was a perfect blend of flavors that truly captured the essence of Tuscany and was also very approachable.
The service was impeccable, I specialize in hospitality, professionally and this was 10/10 with every member of the staff going above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. I was lucky enough to meet two of the owners as well as the chefs, who all made the experience even more special with their genuine hospitality.
What stood out the most was the unique charm of this place, combining luxury with a deep connection to local culture.
I highly recommend L’Olivio @ Poggio Paradiso for anyone seeking an authentic Tuscan experience in a classy environment that is top notch. I can’t wait to return and hope to explore their cooking classes and spa on my next visit!

Un’esperienza meravigliosa sotto ogni punto di vista! È tutto stupendo, curato nei minimi dettagli, pulitissimo e con un’atmosfera rilassante e profumata che ti fa sentire subito in vacanza. Lo staff è estremamente cordiale, professionale ed efficiente: hanno trattato ogni mia richiesta con grande attenzione, anche la mia intolleranza al lattosio, preparandomi addirittura un ciambellone apposta per me — e me ne hanno regalato anche da portare a casa!
Il massaggio di coppia con Cecilia e Tania è stato semplicemente perfetto: rilassante, delicato e rigenerante. Mi sono sentita coccolata e accolta in un ambiente davvero impeccabile.
Il ristorante è ottimo, piatti deliziosi e ben curati, e il conto assolutamente onesto.
Un posto che consiglio di cuore e in cui sicuramente tornerò. 💆♀️✨

From the very moment we walked in the door we were offered a beverage and any assistance we needed. This resort is first class. Our room was large with everything we could possibly need. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was a pleasant surprise. Double sinks with counter space, mirrors that light up (which is perfect for applying make-up), a large shower with a rain shower head and a seat. We had two breakfasts and dinner during our stay and all were delicious.The views from our windows were “classic Tuscany.” Everyone we encountered had an honest desire to please their guests. So thankful we were able to spend part of our Italy vacation at Poggio Paradiso.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The entire property is well-kept, food is delicious, and most of all the team is extremely kind, helpful, and professional. We were in Italy for 2 weeks and our time here was the highlight of our trip. Thank you for everything!

Struttura curatissima e accoglienza eccezionale fin dal primo momento, grazie a Paolo, ospitale, propositivo e sempre pronto a dispensare preziosi consigli. Un grazie speciale a Marco, fonte inesauribile di conoscenza, capace di incantare con la sua esperienza. Sempre gentile, ci ha coccolati e accompagnati con la sua presenza e la sua maestria dalla colazione alla cena, dimostrando un altissimo senso di appartenenza. Un sentito ringraziamento agli Chef per una cucina di livello eccelso: piatti prelibati, preparati in modo curato per gli occhi ed il palato, sostenuti da uno staff competente e appassionato, superlativi. Grazie anche a Mirko, lavoratore instancabile, simpatico ed entusiasta, che con la sua dedizione contribuisce a rendere il posto speciale. Il tutto perfettamente coordinato dal Direttore Luigi Vecchioni, che con la sua pregevole guida attenta e professionale a tutti i minimi dettagli, rende questa struttura davvero unica. Infine, un pensiero di gratitudine va a Tim, che pur non avendo avuto il piacere di conoscere, ha saputo creare con la sua passione per questo territorio un luogo difficilissimo da trovare altrove. Esperienza da provare, struttura molto bella , panorama da cartolina. Ambiente riservato con una grande attenzione al cliente. Cucina di ottima fattura e qualità e personale sempre disponibile, attento, educato a completa disposizione dei clienti. Ritorneremo sicuramente! Dimenticavo e presente una piccola è completa spa che si può riservare singolarmente .

Resort eccellente, posizione strategica per Val d'Orcia, Crete e Val di Chiana
Soggiorno con famiglia. Accoglienza puntuale ed amichevole. Suite con vista sulle colline e valle. I servizi del resort sono studiati per esaudire la maggior parte delle esigenze degli ospiti: ristorante di alto livello, piscina con giardino, spa esclusiva con personale professionale ed attento (complimenti a Tania!). La pulizia ed il comfort ai massimi livelli. Posizione strategica per la Val d'Orcia, le Crete senesi e la Val di Chiana. Un ringraziamento particolare a tutto il personale ed al direttore per l'accoglienza ed i suggerimenti. Ci torneremo senz'altro!

Hôtel en cours de rénovation qui sont menées avec goût et en respectant l’architecture ancestrale du lieu. Le personnel était aux petits soins. Le petit déjeuné est exceptionnel avec vue sur la campagne Toscane . Le spa dispense de très bons soins. Il est aussi possible de se restaurer au bord de la piscine. Magnifique expérience.

My wife and I had the pleasure of spending five nights at Poggio. I’ve been fortunate to travel extensively across the globe and have visited Italy a handful of times. This stay ranks as one of my top experiences in Europe.
Let’s start with the facility—it had just undergone an extensive renovation, and it showed. It maintained all the Tuscan charm while bringing the elegance you’d expect from a five-star hotel. The suites were spacious, beautifully appointed, and the bathrooms were excellent. The views and grounds were stunning, making for a truly relaxing vacation.
It’s easy to reach by train. We arrived in Florence and departed from Rome; it’s a short drive from the train station to the property. It’s also well located for day trips to some great towns—Montepulciano, Siena, and Pienza—offering the full Tuscan experience. We used it as a base and explored a different town each day.
Having visited the major tourist cities before, this was a much slower pace and genuinely relaxing.
The staff were excellent. Chris, Luigi, Marco, Pierro, and Ermenia went above and beyond in every way, making the stay truly memorable. Because of the small size of the property and the number of staff, it felt like a fully staffed private villa. They went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. They organized a private wine tasting, booked a golf tee time at a beautiful course, and gave us spot-on recommendations for lunch in every town we visited.
Now, the restaurant—L'Olivio Cucina! Initially, we planned to have a few meals out in the nearby towns, and we were slightly concerned about being isolated with limited dining options. That changed immediately. After the first night, we had no desire to eat anywhere else. The food, wine, and menu were the best I’ve had in Tuscany. All the pasta is made fresh in-house. The seasonal menu had plenty of variety, with incredibly fresh ingredients and creative, elevated presentation. It was a real treat—and the prices were an exceptional value.
The final highlight: we were there for the opening of the new spa. It’s a great concept—you can rent the whole space privately for a block of time. It has everything: massage, salt room, sauna, aromatherapy shower, red light therapy, and a meditation room with headsets for guided meditations. It’s a must for you and your significant other.
I debated writing this review because I wanted to keep the place a secret for friends and family. With only eight suites, it’s bound to become a favorite. Whether you’re stopping for one night or staying for five as we did, it’s a great option for anyone traveling through Tuscany.

Ottimo resort sulle colline della Val di Chiana, dotato di una bella piscina esterna (non termale) e di un SPA piccola ma ben attrezzata.
Anche il ristorante è di ottima qualità.
Un bel posto per un weekend rilassante in Toscana.
