Best selection of Texas books I've come across! Pratt was kind. Lots of books are rare and out of print so some can be quite pricey.
Yesterday I had the pleasure of visiting this book store for the first time. Mrs. Pratt was so kind and helpful, and the selection of local/US history books exceeded my expectations. For anyone like myself who is doing research on the Texas Frontier, I suggest you give yourself a few hours, which is about the amount of time I spent in the store.
This is a hidden gem in small town Texas. They have a great collection of new and used books and the owners are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly.
This is the best little bookstore in Texas! I love all their events and their selection of books is the best. My favorite part of their collection is the Young County history books. We’ve found many unique books over the years!
This was such a breath of fresh air. I could spend a whole day here. So many treasures. Not enough time. I cannot wait to go back. The owners know Young County. Do not miss this gem.
This bookstore is worth visiting if you love hard to find literature and historical books with beautiful hardcovers. Pratt’s Books is big enough to find something and small enough to browse everything. If you homeschool or collect The Franklin Library books, you will not want to pass this bookstore. The quality surpasses the price, a rare find bookstore.
The lady that works here was so sweet and amazing she helped me get a special book 2y ago from Santa!!! I will for ever remeber my visit and phone call. Just absolutely amazing service!
