The instructors of this course (Introduction to Operations in the National Airspace) were very knowledgeable and the course material was very informative. I learned some things I didn't know, and they clarified and advanced my knowledge of things I did know. I highly recommend this course.

Thank you, Terrance!
What do you get when you throw a bunch of engineers into a classroom and tell them they have one week to design an engine for a B-52?
An absolute fever dream of compressor pressure ratios, caffeine fueled bonding, and arguing over bypass ratios like our lives depended on it (did it no, but emotionally? Yep).
This course was like a mini boot camp, except instead of pushups we did parametric cycle analysis and questioned our static pressure recovery values.
No homework? True.
But did we spend every waking moment recalculating specific fuel consumption anyway? Also true.
Why? Because deep down, we actually cared.
Also because someone said, “Your engine’s not going to make it off the ground,” and that felt… personal.
We went from strangers to teammates faster than a compressor blade at 20,000 RPM.
Our group chats were chaos:
• “Does this fan count as high bypass?”
• “What if we just turn off the laws of thermodynamics?”
• “Guys I think I accidentally made a missile.”
By the end of the week, we had an engine that may or may not fly — but it had heart.
We had PowerPoints that looked like TED Talks and cycle diagrams that deserved to be framed.
We laughed. We cried (internally). We said things like “isentropic” with confidence.
And somehow, we made it through.
Would I take it again? Absolutely but — my brain cells are still recovering.
Would I recommend it? 1000%.
Especially if you enjoy:
• Light academic trauma with a side of turbine math
• Engineering under pressure (literally and figuratively)
• And friendships forged in the fires of Mach 0.82 cruise conditions
Now we whisper engine parameters in our sleep.
Always remember:
A Jet engine is just a particle accelerator!

Thank you, Oskar! We appreciate your enthusiasm for our course! It was a pleasure learning with all of you.
I took the Cycle Analysis of Gas Turbine Engines and even though I did not know much about gas turbines as a whole and its an advanced lecel course, I enjoyed it very much and learned a lot! Keith and Kurt are enthusiastic and knowledgeable and can make anyone excited about engines.

Thank you!
Highly experienced and knowledgeable instructors that did a great job explaining the course content. I’ve taken Introduction to Operations in the National Airspace and Introduction to Aeronautics. Both courses deserve five stars.

Introduction to Aeronautics
Just completed the 32-hour course featuring John and Scotty on the east coast. Brilliant instructors that really got into the material and made it every bit enjoyable! Even the bad weather that stopped us from meeting in class didn't stop those guys! 100% recommend it for any aeronautics major or engineer in aviation.
I had a blast taking the Intro to Aeronautics class. I went into it having no idea why planes were designed the way they were. Now, I can understand the configurations and how they impact an aircraft's mission. Instructors "Laz" and Dr. Wissler always had us actively thinking about things and engaged us with their explanations. Additionally, they never assumed you understood something and would always re-emphasize a concept or ask the class about it. Would love to take another class with them again

Wow, Sara! Thanks for the fantastic review. We are thrilled you love to learn with us.
Practical aeronautics is an amazing company. They bring an immense amount of experience and knowledge. I have taken three of their courses and love them. I work in the aerospace industry and this company has helped me to understand my own industry much better. They bring first person perspectives and knowledge and are willing to share it entirely. I would highly recommend this company to anyone interested in learning more about aeronautics.
