We’ve traditionally done our own painting over the years - Portsmouth Painting Company is the first (and last) company we’ll hire to do it for us. Holy crap. I cannot say enough how delighted we were with the punctuality, attention to detail, quality, and care that they put into painting our living room and dining room. The crew arrived early and stayed late to ensure the job was done, and asked us greet clarifying questions and navigated around our daily lives to make the process as easy as possible. Highly recommended.
Portsmouth Painting just finished painting the interior of our home — walls, molding, and ceilings — and we couldn’t be happier! The quality and attention to detail were amazing, and they kept everything spotless throughout the project. The crew was so organized, worked incredibly hard, and truly went above and beyond. On top of that, they were the happiest, most pleasant group of people to have around — their positive energy made the whole experience such a pleasure. We honestly miss having them here! Dave kept us updated on our schedule and his team came it and did a great job. Professional and courteous for the two days they were here. As I looked around at their completed work, I was very pleased at they job they accomplished. We have received many compliments from our neighbors about the team and the work performed. We had our interior home painted about 2 Years ago by Portsmouth Painting Company.
I have to say that this Company is top notch! The owner returned my call immediately and was at our home the following day to look at what we needed done. He emailed us an itemized list with a fair price considering the 16' walls. It was defiantly a challenging wall as the previous Painter really hacked the wall up.
The team showed on time, they were clean, professional and had awesome personalities. They knew what they were doing! The painting job they did was absolutely perfection!!!! I would not hesitate to use them!
We are thrilled with how great the house looks due to the beautiful work PPC did. Ours is a very large home, but they came with ten painters and got the job done to perfection in just over two weeks, including all the prep work. PPC was attentive to every detail and responsive to every question or concern. And what struck me the most was how well the team worked together. Their spirit was infectious!

Dave and Portsmouth painting did an amazing job on our old house. She went from 'needs TLC' to a statement piece.
They removed wallpaper and the plaster and prep team was absolutely phenomenal. A+
Dave himself was amazing. We had a number of thing go horribly wrong and he treated the house like it was his own. We had a backed up sewer line, leaking steam pipes, no heat. You name it. We had it.
Dave immediately kept me in the loop knowing we were not living on site. For that alone, he was 5 stars!
Only notes:
1. I would make is that if you have an old home like us, be very specific about what you want to keep and what you don't want to keep. We had some old wallpaper removed in closets we would have preferred to keep and some hardware got painted that we wanted to keep original to the house. My fault for not clarifying on the hardware and it was only a few rooms.
2. If you are getting the sprayed paint, it does create a lot of dust. If we had known, we would have hired a professional cleaner to come out and clean afterwards. Dave and his team did everything in their power to protect and cover our floors. I think it's just part of the process and very hard to vent dust out windows when it's freezing cold outside.
For a 4000SF house, the team did an absolutely amazing job and we would 100% hire Dave and his team again to do work around our home.
This is the send time I have have Portsmouth Painting Co paint the exterior of my house and this time I went out on a limb and painted vinyl siding. It came out amazing!! Dave and his crew were fast and clean and I could not be happier. Major transformation and way more affordable than new siding!!
Jody and I are extremely pleased with the work that you and your team have done on painting our condo in Portsmouth. The project needed a lot of preparation and caulking which has made a big difference to the final result and tightening up the efficiency of our heating system. Everything looks great and we are very pleased. You did everything promised and more. Thanks for being a great service provider and making our project go so well.
We watched our neighbor's home get painted by Portsmouth Painting and we were so impressed I walked over and asked for a quote on our home. They are a great company to work with. Dave and his hard-working, experienced and friendly staff did a great job for us and I highly recommend them.

David Pine and his team are very easy to work with and very communicative working around my family's schedule to get the job done on time.
