This place is nothing but awesome. Stayed there for 3 to 4 months and absolutely loved it. Went down the road and picked blackberries. I can't say enough good things about this place. Mark is awesome. I ever get back to Georgia this is where I will stay for sure
I absolutely loved my 3 month stay at the Ponderosa RV Park in Rocky Ford, GA during the beginning of 2024. This family owned and operated park is privately located on their 300 acre farm of mixed pastures and woodland (with accessible trails!), not only a great pet friendly location with plenty of hiking, they have the ability to allow horses as well with area to ride. Listed on both Harvest Host and Passport America, there are bee colonies on the farm as well, if the time of year is right you could be in for some fresh collected Honey to purchase! Set in a quiet rural area right in between Savanna and Augusta only an hour's drive in either direction with plenty in between. I personally loved alligator spotting at nearby Magnolia Springs state park, also with miles of walking trails available. Augusta is loaded with restaurants and breweries! They also host the PGA Masters tournament every spring. As far as the park itself, it was a pretty sweet spot. Reasonably sized campsites, brand new electrical (20, 30, & 50 amp), impressive fast draining septic (even while the park was near full capacity), and some of the best tasting well water I've ever experienced! I enjoyed several quiet camp fires and clear skies with minimal city light pollution; perfect for star gazing. Internet is provided and works excellent. I typically dealt with Mark, one of the owners. Mark was always friendly, hospitable and respectful as well as a wealth of knowledge about campers, with tips and tricks that have assisted me in my adventures since my stay. Park maintenance was also impressive and always on the ball. I will without a doubt stay once again at the Ponderosa RV Park my next future visit to the area. Excellent stay, thank you very much! I will add photos once I figure out how.
Thank you Andrew for the review it was a pleasure meeting with you and your road critters we look forward for your next stay !!

Luther, my dog and I have enjoyed the abundant country trails and dirt roads. We have seen many different species of local wildlife. I have a 35 foot fifth wheel and there are no problems, with pull through lots and full amenities. Mark, the owner has been extremely accommodating and friendly. Don’t forget to pick up a jar of his wild honey. You won’t be sorry.
Our 40 foot RV had no issues with the short dirt road even after a torrential rain storm. Each lot has full hookups. It is only $30 a night and is quiet and peaceful. We had a tow bar issue and the owner generously offered my husband his welding tools to repair the problem. My husband happens to be a welder. The owner offered to call someone for us if we needed it. Very nice people!
Great Wifi and tv. The owner checked with us to be sure we had Wifi. He has 30 & 50 amp.
This is a lovely little campground. Owner allows horses. Our horses got to share the pasture with his horses and had a great time. Trails right from the property.
Thanks for this review.
I would’ve been nice to have met y’all!!

This is the perfect campground for peace and quiet! You take a dirt road back in. We have a 32 foot Fifth Wheel and had no issues traveling the dirt road! Out of all the roads you take in life you ought to make at least a few of them dirt!!! The owner was so wonderful and such a blessing! We broke down and had to extend our stay due to our truck being in the shop. He was very welcoming! His brother came by a couple times to collect rent, He’s the type of guy it’d be fun to sit around a campfire with and hear stories of his travels! Couldn’t have asked for a better campground to stay out! The price is perfect as well!! They have a coin operated washer and dryer. Ponderosa has Full Hook up sites with 20amp, 30amp, 50amp! They have fantastic WIFI and T-Mobile has great service there! You can take a peaceful country walk down the road! Would for sure stay here again if in this area!! This campground was a breath of fresh air!!
