Our relationship with Ponderosa started a few years ago when we were in the market for a new furnace. We brought in Ponderosa along with 2 other local heating companies. I can't say they were the lowest bid but they were competitive and we felt the most comfortable with the rep they sent to meet with us (Moe). They did a wonderful job on the new furnace, so well, that when Jeffco came to inspect it, they mentioned how awesome of a job they did.
Since then, we needed a new water heater, we didn't waste time getting other offers and called up Ponderosa. They did an excellent job (another quick inspection from the county too). We elected to spend a bit more to go with a tankless heater. We were disappointed in the results because our water heater is a long way away from our master bath where we use the hot water. We found it took longer than the traditional water heater to get the water to our bathroom and were wasting water trying to get it warm.
A call to them and they sent someone out to adjust some settings and it improved some but we still weren't 100% satisfied. Fast forward to the next year when we decided we needed some air conditioning and wanted to explore all our options.
We finally elected to go with an over powered mini split for our master bedroom (so we could at least sleep comfortably). Our hope was that we could open our bedroom and cool the rest of the house with the overpowered mini split. We soon realized this wasn't realistic. Rather than starting over, they agreed to move the overpowered mini split to our living room (where it can better cool the whole house) and put a more modest mini split in our bedroom. They did not charge us to move. And to make things right with the water heater, they installed external circulators in our master bath and kitchen so we'd have more instant hot water. This was at no cost to use. Yeah, we spent a lot of money, but we are happy with value we received for every cent and the end result, especially the excellent customer service.
We had minor complaints about the daikin mini splits because their internal thermostats were located inside the unit (high on the wall) so they never detected the room temps were cool and kept cooling to excesive levels, A quick call to Ponderosa and they came out with some external termostats that make the units work the way we imagined they would. Miguel was our main installer for all of these projects and the amount of patience he has for our endless stupid questions is saint-worthy. He does everything with a smile, even when installing AC's outside in summer heat!
