I couldn’t be more impressed with the entire experience from start to finish. From the moment I reached out, Christian and Jared were incredibly responsive and communicative - Chris was always happy to answer my questions and kept me informed every step of the way. I called him more times that I care to admit with random questions and he always picked up and was super friendly and informative. What also stood out was how quickly everything came together. I contacted them and within just a few days, John was onsite and had two mini split units fully installed and ready to go in both rooms by the end of the day. That kind of turnaround is rare and hugely appreciated. They also helped me secure 0% financing for 25 months, which made the whole investment so much more manageable. It was clear they genuinely wanted to make this work for me, not just make a sale. The install itself was seamless, and I now have reliable heating and A/C throughout my home. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for HVAC work done right - fast, professional, and truly customer-focused. Five stars without hesitation!

My experience with working with this company was great. When I had an issue with no hot water, this company was able to get me a brand new hot water tank and install it within one day. They file the permits for me as well as register the # Warranty for the hot water tank that was installed. They made sure to mail me a copy of what is included in my warranty. But festival they were very competitive with their pricing. I called no less than five companies most of them wanted to double the price. The service guys that came through were very patient and explaining to me how to understand my new hot water tank. Dave made sure I understood before he left. Well, make sure my basement was as clean as it was when they found it. I have no complaints whatsoever about the service I receive from Dave and Will. I would suggest that they’d be given a raise, I can only imagine that it takes a lot of understanding to do the job as quickly as they performed it. I really appreciate the fact that they were willing to come over early in the morning to do this job.

I would absolutely NOT recommend Polar Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning to anyone. I originally called them because my furnace wouldn’t turn on. Prior to that, I had zero issues with it. They scheduled for the next day, and the technician diagnosed the problem as a loose wire. Simple fix. He was friendly and offered a service agreement, explaining they would credit the dispatch fee if I signed up. It sounded like a good value at the time, so I agreed, and he serviced the furnace during that same visit. The very next day, my furnace started making a loud bogging/grinding noise that it had NEVER made before. I immediately called the office and explained the issue. They asked for a video, which I sent. After reviewing it, they agreed someone needed to come out — but couldn’t schedule me for FOUR days. So we waited. When the tech finally arrived, he claimed he “couldn’t duplicate the issue.” Despite the very obvious and abnormal noise (which was captured clearly on video), they charged me another dispatch fee and recommended something completely unrelated to the blower motor — which was clearly the problem. The most frustrating part? My unit was in its LAST MONTH of warranty, and I made that very clear. There was zero sense of urgency, zero accountability, and zero effort to actually resolve the problem. Instead, we were left dealing with that loud, concerning noise for months until the blower motor completely failed — exactly what it sounded like was going to happen. We were not about to keep paying dispatch fees just to be told they “couldn’t duplicate” an obvious issue. The furnace was not making that noise before their initial service, and yet they offered no assurance, no follow-up, and no responsibility for equipment they had just serviced the day before. Fast forward — after receiving multiple estimates from other HVAC companies, we decided to give Polar another opportunity. We specifically requested both a blower motor replacement estimate and a full system replacement proposal. The receptionist also mentioned refunding the service contract since I was dissatisfied and said she would get back to me. We never heard back regarding the refund, the blower motor estimate, or the full system replacement proposal. After receiving five detailed proposals from reputable, top-rated HVAC companies, we moved forward with another company. I called Polar to follow up about the service contract refund, and the receptionist suddenly claimed they “can’t do that” and that I never requested a full system replacement proposal. That statement is irrelevant considering she also never followed up about the refund or the blower motor estimate either. If their calls are recorded, they should review them because that response was beyond ridiculous. Having served 14 years in the military thus far, integrity is a value I take very seriously. In my experience, that value was not honored by Polar. For those wondering, they also do not offer a military discount. That alone never determines whether I choose to work with a company, but it does say something about how a business chooses to support its community. In the end, this company showed no effort to make things right, no accountability, and no customer care once they had collected their fees. The initial interaction may seem satisfactory, but from my experience, it only goes downhill from there. Save yourself the frustration, the extra dispatch fees, and the runaround — go with a company that actually stands behind their work.

To clarify a few points for context:

When you first called, your furnace was not operating. Our technician diagnosed and corrected a loose wire, completed a full tune-up during the same visit, and only charged you for a service membership — crediting the dispatch fee as discussed. At that time, the system was operating properly.

When you contacted us again regarding the noise, we reviewed the video you provided and scheduled a return visit. At the follow-up appointment, our technician was unable to duplicate the issue during operation. Because the original repair (the loose wire) was functioning properly, the visit was treated as a new diagnostic. We understand how frustrating intermittent issues can be, especially when they are difficult to reproduce in the moment.

Regarding the membership refund — we did not feel a refund was appropriate, as the initial repair and full maintenance service were completed. However, we did want the opportunity to continue evaluating the equipment and provide options. We regret that we were not able to reconnect to review blower motor replacement or full system replacement options before you chose another company. This happened on a Saturday and we thought it was communicated that we would follow-up with you when the office opened. We believed we were on the same page there.

We also want to clarify that we do offer military discounts on most services. We sincerely thank you for your 14 years of service and apologize if that was not communicated clearly.

We genuinely strive to operate with integrity and stand behind our work. We’ve attempted to reach you to discuss this further and see if there’s a way to make things right, but have not been able to connect. Our door is always open, and we would welcome the opportunity to speak directly and work toward a resolution.

I had been having issues with my existing propane furnace for at least two years. I was previously using a bigger company who kept insisting different repairs be done, despite the problem persisting. Polar came and immediately knew the issue. They explained to me I could repair it, but ultimately a replacement would be most beneficial and make the most sense financially. The whole process was easy and pleasant. They even moved my appointment up AND included an extra year of service for free for helping out their scheduling. The installation couldn’t have been smoother. The two guys from Polar showed up promptly and completed the whole new installation in less than half a day. They were extremely professional, clean, and efficient. The new heating system is working amazingly and I couldn’t be happier that Polar is my new company! Highly recommend Polar and really appreciate their professionalism and expertise.

Appreciate these guys. They installed a new Heat Pump this past summer. Smooth installation, awesome technicians, guided me through the process, rebates and answered any questions. They decommissioned my oil boiler in a clean and tidy job. They also came to the rescue again with a plumbing emergency. Reasonable proposal and straight forward pricing, Cylar explained the entire process/ steps and potential final cost for each scenario. Always willing to offer discounts for combining different services. Really great company, from the technicians on the ground, to the office managers handling appointments and invoicing, to the top execs Ray and Jared. We had our new system installed in one day! The crew was unbelievable! Couldn't ask for nicer people to come into our home. They took the time to make sure everything was working properly before they left. And one guy went over with us what they had done and if we had any questions. Couldn't ask for more than 5 stars! Thank you Polar team for all the hard you had done. So far everything is great and the house feels comfortable. If anyone needs the heating system, go for Polar because they are very honest people and give great information! You won't regret using them at all. Updated: February 19, 2025- The reason why I am updating my review is because I don't want to fool everybody here. We have been with Polar for 3 and half years. We have ongoing issues 2 to 3 a time in a year for different reasons. We were told that the heating pump would be good for up to 15 years, and it's giving us a problem up to date. Updated February 24, 2025. DON'T go to this company they'll rip you off! They have inexperienced workers who don't know what they are doing and talking about. We just found out that our fan was inserted on the wrong side. Smh!!! They told us a bunch of things that were irrelevant to the issues we had. Wow, is all I can say!!! Got your email, Polar. Thanks for the heads up! You ruined our heating system. Worked great for the first 4 years and now it is CRAPPY!!! It was supposed to last 15 to 20 years. People here don't know my situation but they will find out when their time comes. Good luck, everyone.

I contacted them because I was having a problem (the outside unit was freezing up when it snowed) with my Mini splits. I was asked to send photos of the ID tags on all of the units because they wanted to figure out if they could service them. The system was not garbage from Home Depot, it was from a plumbing supply house. I did not receive a response and I had to text them to see if they received the photos, they did. 2 days later I had to contact them again to find out if they were going to help me. I was told "sorry we dont work on those mini splits" " best of luck with the project".
