My friend and I went for 5 nights wanting a quiet break. We are both elderly.It was the perfect place. Keer lodge is very comfortable and has everything you could need for a relaxed stay. Mark the owner is always accessible and very willing to help make your holiday the best it can be. We didn't use any of the amenities or sports facilities on the site except the restaurant, we had a take away which was very good. All of the staff that we encountered were friendly and helpful. This was our third visit which says it all really.
Spent two nights at Keer Lodge as a base for walking in the Lake District. Communication prior to our arrival was regular & useful. The lodge itself was spotless when we arrived with clear instructions on how to use everything. A great deal of attention has been paid to the decor and furniture and it has a very welcoming feel. Would happily stay again and would also highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful break with great views!
Absolutely stunning! I booked Keer Lodge for my parents and they loved every second of their stay. The Lodge is beautiful, spacious, bright and so clean. Very very uplifting. The view across the lake is second to none. I was fortunate enough to drop my parents off at the lodge and pick them up at the end of their stay. I loved the lodge as much as they did. Watching the ducks and swans was so relaxing. My parents were very happy that they could catch a bus easily up to Kendal and down to Lancaster. The bus stop is at the entrance to the resort, so very convenient.
All in all, we 100% recommend anyone to stay here. We would definitely come back to Keer Lodge
Just fabulous! We went right in the middle of winter and it was peaceful, perfectly warm and cosy. Stunning view over the lake with access from the patio outside to feed the ducks and swans. The cabin is pristine (the one star below… definitely not for this place, don’t be confused!!!) its just wonderful. Mark was a super host with excellent communication and instructions. Access to all amenities including pool, games room, mini golf and onsite restaurant all within an 10 minute walk of the cabin… absolutely ideal for a young family. Thank you for a lovely stay, we’ll definitely be back!

Had a great stay at marks place as a family of 4. The lodge is beautiful, so clean and has everything you need. The view over the lake is stunning and we enjoyed feeding the ducks every morning. We went to Windermere for the day which was only 30 min drive away! And we went to the entertainment on site on New Year’s Eve which was great, my 4 year old loved the disco and the arcades! Will definitely visit again in the summer when we can spend more time out on the decking by the lake :). Thank you for a great stay!

We had such a relaxing time at the lodge over new year. The view of the lake was the beautiful. The lodge was clean, comfortable and cosy. Loved the Christmas decorations! Particularly liked the fact that the kitchen had everything you could possibly need - plenty of pots, pans, cooking utensils, etc. Perfect for self-catering and a great base for exploring the local area. Would definitely recommend!
My family and I spent Christmas at Sandmartin Lodge. The lodge its self is beautifully presented and there's everything you could possibly need. The views are spectacular of the lake. We live locally and couldn't believe how relaxed we felt. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us.

This was our 2nd time staying at this lodge, we are a family of 4 and honestly we love it! It’s not far for us to get to and really is like home from home. The lodge is well equipped.
