Pietro è un insegnante eccezionale, di altissimo livello, è stato in grado di portare mio figlio da un’insufficienza grave in fisica (liceo scientifico) a prendere addirittura 10 nell’ultima verifica. I really recommend Mr. Pietro as an IB DP Physics and Math teacher. His teaching is clear, structured, and easy to follow, and he genuinely takes great care in helping his students improve. He also gives thoughtful advice based on each student’s strengths and areas for growth. What I especially appreciate is that he recognizes each student’s individual capabilities and adjusts his guidance accordingly, rather than treating everyone the same. He is supportive, attentive, and clearly wants his students to do well both academically and personally. I had online lessons with Pietro for IB Physics HL while at the British School of Milan, working on the topics I struggled with most, especially electromagnetism, fields and circuits. What I liked most was that he didn't just show me the solution, he taught me how to think through unfamiliar problems on my own. It made a real difference when revising for the final IB exams. Physics HL can be pretty unforgiving when fields, circuits and electromagnetism all start mixing together, so I’m glad the lessons helped you approach the problems more independently. That was exactly the aim, not just getting through one exercise, but knowing what to do when the next one looks different.

I was in DP2 doing IB Maths AA HL and was really stuck on my IA. I started online lessons with Pietro in November, mainly working on calculus, trig and the maths behind my IA topic. Paper 3 in IB Physics HL was the part of the exam I was most worried about. Pietro showed me a really clear way to approach it: how to read the data, structure the answers and manage the time for each question. After working with his method I ended up scoring full marks on Paper 3 and improved my final grade by almost a full point compared to my predictions.

Our daughter attended St. Louis School and had been struggling with IB Physics HL since the beginning of the Diploma Programme, with a predicted grade of 4. What changed was the approach to the HL papers, and once the structure was clear the rest followed.
