Despite booking the viewing in advance, I received no prior confirmation via call, text, or email. On the day of the viewing, I was only given 30 minutes' notice. This is unreasonable and does not align with professional industry standards.
When I called to rearrange the time, the individual who answered the phone was extremely rude and unprofessional. As someone who manages high blood pressure, this stressful and aggressive interaction had a direct negative impact on my health.

This will be the third time that I/we have used Phillips George to sell a property. Once again, their professionalism, courteousness and efficiency has made the sale hassle free. You definitely feel the personal touch with Phillips George Estate Agents, I've spoken and dealt with I think most of the staff there. All have been helpful, but a big shout out to Sam, for the timely updates and chasing down the slow solicitor on the buyers side. Phillips George are hands down the best estate agents in the area. We bought our first house through them a few years ago and decided to sell with them recently because we had such a good experience before. Everything that can go wrong with a chain did go wrong for us but Clare, Sam, and the team saved our sale over and over again and got us all moved in time.
They are absolutely worth their weight in gold and will always go above and beyond. All properties are advertised on the same few websites now, so what makes the difference is the personal touch and professionalism. You will not regret choosing them and we can't thank them all enough.

I would genuinely & highly recommend Phillips George Estate Agents to anyone looking to buy/sell/rent a property.

We sold our first property with Phillips George and I would recommend them to everyone looking to sell or purchase. Aaron and Clare as well as the wider team supported us throughout. Although the branch was not near our home or in our local area, communication was excellent all the way. We had offers after a few weeks and we were really pleased with the negotiations to accept an offer both parties were happy with. We had problems with solicitors however not one issue with Phillips George. Clare pushed and overcame any issues we had, even when it was not her problem to resolve, taking full ownership and ensuring completion was successful. had a deeply disappointing and distressing experience with Philips George Wigston.
After viewing a property, I submitted an offer which was formally accepted. I received written confirmation via email, completed most of the paperwork, and began progressing with the purchase in good faith. Throughout this process, I acted promptly and professionally and investing significant time to ensure everything moved forward smoothly.
Without warning, I was later informed that I had supposedly withdrawn my offer. This is categorically untrue — I never withdrew. Despite providing no evidence of this alleged withdrawal, the property was sold to another buyer.
This behaviour is not only misleading but also highly unprofessional. It caused me unnecessary stress & wasted my time.
An estate agent has a duty of honesty and transparency, yet in my case I felt misled and unfairly treated. I would strongly advise others to exercise extreme caution before dealing with this agency.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I’ve had a look at the circumstances around your offer.
You submitted an offer for the property in question on the 12th of August which was accepted in principle. It was made clear by phone and in writing to you by email, also on the 12th, that the property would not be removed from the market, or any upcoming viewings cancelled until you had supplied information necessary to qualify your offer. This is standard practice for any professional agent, as it ensures vendors do not miss out on valuable marketing time should you be unable to proceed.
As of the 19th of August, we had still to receive any of the requested information from you. You spoke to my colleague by phone that day, when you were informed that there were other offers on the property. It was again confirmed in writing by my colleague to you that while the vendor had accepted your offer in principle, they would not cancel upcoming viewings or take the property off the market until we received all documentation to qualify your offer. My colleague suggested you send the documentation asap and confirmed that in the event of both parties submitting their documentation at the same time, the final decision would be made by the vendor.
We then heard nothing from you until the 28th of August, 16 days after being first asked to provide your qualifying information, when you emailed to say you were still waiting to complete your source of funds. My colleague then informed you that the other offer had been qualified, information received and formally accepted by the vendor.
While I understand it is frustrating to miss out on a property, I’m sure you would agree it is unreasonable to expect a vendor to remove a property from the market indefinitely until such time as a potential buyer may or may not have their finances in order. Our vendors appreciate and insist on this being done to avoid wasting their time. Any agent that does not qualify offers as a matter of course is not doing their job properly. There was no lack of transparency or lack of professionalism on the part of Phillips George. The requirements were made clear to you from the start and at no stage did we receive any of the information needed to progress the sale. This alone was the reason your purchase did not progress.
We would advise any buyer to ensure that they have prepared their finances in advance of viewing properties so that they don’t miss out. An independent financial advisor will be able to help find the best mortgage deals available. Having a mortgage agreement in principle ready, together with clear deposit details will also help.
