Carly Black is not and has never been, a client of mine. Carly Black called my office and asked me numerous questions about her pending case in which she was representing herself. I answered all of her questions - quite politely. She then asked me how much my fees would be to represent her. I told her about my fees and she made it clear she would not be hiring me. She then continued to tell me more about her case and to ask more questions. I never offered a free consultation, but I continued to answer her questions, still politely. Eventually, I did tell her that there was no point in her continuing to explain her case if I was not going to be representing her since there was nothing I could do. She immediately hung up the phone (there's the rudeness) before I could even give her some advice about hiring another lawyer. What kind of a person gives a 1-star rating to an attorney with reviews that are practically all 5 stars under these circumstances? If she had any sense of decency whatsoever, she would recognize her anger is misplaced, recognize how harmful a negative review could be to any business - even one based on a short phone conversation, that everything I stated is the truth, and she would respond to this reply with an apology.
