Was working down the street in Pemberton and was looking for something to eat with my fellow tradesmen. Found Phat Jawns on Google Maps, and figured why not give it a shot. Food is BANGIN, one may even say it's BANGARANG 😎. Definitely recommend and will be coming back. Just don't get confused with it being an American Legion, just walk in and order!!
Review from today 4_18_25
Meat over cooked to the point it was actually black on alot of it, maybe one slice of cheese so it made it so dry it was inedible so i wasted 30 bucks through door dash. You guys were good once upon a time but not anymore....called and they said they would make a new one but I dashed it cause I'm at work and can't be driving across town. Doesn't matter the situation, if you "have a new guy training" then you check everything he is making. You sent it and it was horrible. Sorry nick but its like this every time now and I give up
10 months ago review: Gotten cheese steaks a bunch of times and it had been good up till today. They previously used fresh sautéed mushrooms bit today was mostly raw canned mushrooms that were gross. Forgot fries that I paid for. Asked for extra bacon and chives on tots but didn't get extra and if I hadn't paid attention I would have had no sauces or sour cream but I had them add it
Maybe it was a bad day ? But it was a pretty bad day unfortunately as I didn't want to eat the cheese steak

Thanks for the feedback Walt! Please come in and ask for Nick and we will take care of your next meal! We only want happy customers!!
Let me first start by saying i thought i was lost a there were no signs and it was located inside of the American legion club. Now,
the atmosphere was my favorite. Everyone who walked in knew each other and the staff was very nice. The cook even came out to talk to the customers.
There was a diversity of age, race, and nationalities. The bartender was nice. The place is not overly crowded. I thought the food was kinda regular. I ordered wings but I also added that I wanted them well done, yet it still came to my table soft and rubbery. The flavor was on point buuuutttt, I'm sure it would've been more to my liking if it were well done (extra crispy).
It was like eating a well done steak instead of rare, not appetizing at all.
I was very hungry so I almost ate the entire plate, even though it was missing some celery and carrots.
I will be returning to try their cheesesteak wrap. I was told that it is the absolute best food they have on their menu.
It's definitely a hole in the wall you must check out .
Especially if you're staying at fort Dix.
