Lack of ability to claim directly through vet so you still have to pay the expense upfront and then submit a claim and wait for them to reimburse you their covered amount. They auto renew policy and can not self cancel policy - you have the email (they do not reply with in one business day) or call them (they do not answer during their business hours). There should be email response with in one business day if thy are not going to allow self cancellation via the portal.

Just signed up and so far it’s been okay, the Pre existing assessment took abit longer than the time frame they provided but when I had questions or concerns the staff members were really great especially Claire VW. She took the time to explain everything thoroughly to me and was so kind and patient, she kept me updated, very good customer service! The turnaround time for a claim is very quick, have only had to make 1 claim so far
Edit: I have lodged several more claims, the latest one 18/11/25 which was approved an hour later. I continue to receive excellent service from Petsy and thoroughly recommend them.
I have put in my first claim, in the evening of 23/4/24, for my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Darcy, due to a corneal ulcer on one of his eyes. I spoke to a very pleasant & helpful gentlemen over the phone to obtain help with the lodgement process. As I also provided all his vet history, the claim was approved within 3 business days. I then made a 2nd claim today, 1/5/24, for a follow up visit with the vet, and the claim was approved an hour later. A lady from Petsy also rang me to ask how Darcy was. I found the whole process very easy, with emails being sent to me to let me know the progress of my claim. I have spoken with Petsy staff members on several occasions now, and everyone has been very pleasant and helpful. Each time I rang I have not had to wait very long on the phone for my call to be answered.
