I can't recommend Performance Ortho more highly! I had a fall and broke my femur. 3 screws versus hip replacement required being non-weight bearing for 6 weeks. Following that my surgeon ordered 6 weeks of therapy. I am so thrilled that I chose this group for my care. The courtesy and helpfulness of the front desk employees is really special. Scheduling the plan of care appointments takes time and patience! Each one of the receptionists have been so willing to rearrange my scheduled appointments. Then, I truly credit my Physical Therapists with keeping me motivated and hopeful. Their approach to care is excellent and has the most benefit for the patient...like me! They want to "push me" to develop greater muscle strength in the muscles surrounding both my hip and knee and at the same time not overdoing it and experiencing any pain. Each of the 4 of the PTs at the Watchung office are fantastic!! Their care has eased my pain dramatically. In addition to a "traditional" approach to care, the staff is willing to try newer therapies, such as shock therapy. I've also had gel injections with the goal of decreasing pain. One of the additional and quite unique advantages of Performance is that there are 2 Physician Assistants, a doctor of PT and a MD on the premises that are available for consultations and actual procedures. The ease of being followed by them as well as the expertise of these physicians is really wonderful!! This model of treating the whole patient at one location is quite unusual and an excellent approach.
Honestly, I could say even more but I am so very thankful for the wonderful, skilled staff who are also some of the nicest, kindest practitioners you'd ever find!! You will be too!

Well, I had a discussion with the doctor for almost an hour only to find out I’m not in network. I was not charged. I was excited to work with them, but was very annoyed that they didn’t make me aware of it before our discussion. They must have known at that point. I would have appreciated a heads up about the insurance before she brought me in the room. I drove all the way there and then sat for a good amount of time answers questions- all of which was in the end disappointing and a waste of my time.
The entire office demonstrates exceptional professionalism. I would like to extend a special acknowledgement to Halley, who administers my injections. She consistently exhibits personalized care and attention to my anxiety and apprehension during each injection. I am deeply grateful for her professionalism, empathetic care, and encouragement. She is truly exceptional. Thank you so much!!!
