I cannot say enough good things about Sparkle Dentist! My kiddos usually get extremely anxious when it’s time for a dental visit, but the team at Sparkle truly goes above and beyond to create a calm, welcoming environment. From the front desk staff to the dental hygienists and the dentist, everyone is so warm, patient, and understanding.They took their time explaining everything to my kids in a way that made them feel safe and in control, which really helped ease their nerves. I was so impressed by how gently and efficiently they got the work done without any stress or tears. One of my children even said, “That wasn’t scary at all!”—and that’s a HUGE win for us! The office is clean, cheerful, and clearly designed with children in mind. There are fun touches that make it feel less like a clinic and more like a friendly place to visit. As a parent, it’s such a relief to know we’ve found a dental practice where my children feel comfortable and cared for. If you’re a parent of an anxious little one (or even a few!), I highly recommend Sparkle Dentist. They’ve made what used to be a dreaded experience into something my kids don’t mind at all. Took my two young kids in for their cleanings and I am in awe with how good this location is! Every staff member we came into contact with was friendly and welcoming to the practice. My kids loved seeing their names on the new patient board by the front desk and the colorful waiting room/patient rooms make it a fun experience. My youngest, who is 2, does not do well at doctor offices and although she was screaming the entire time, the staff at Sparkle Pediatrics were EXTREMELY patient while my husband and I tried to get her to sit in the chair. We will be bringing our kids here regularly and recommend Short Pump Sparkle Pediatric 10/10!
The staff at Sparkle Pediatric Dentistry Henrico are all just SO warm and SO kind and you can tell they all GENUINELY love the children they get to work with. We have never had a bad experience, despite how bad my son’s teeth might have been. They’ve always made the experience seamless and warm, truly taking their time to accommodate the comfort of each kid they see.
Long story short, as a new mom I very quickly learned the real damage risks when it comes to milk/baby bottles. My 3 year old did have the dreaded (and mom guilt filled) baby bottle teeth across the top four... SERIOUSLY, YOU CAN BE AS OCD WITH BRUSHING AS YOU THINK YOU ARE, THAT BOTTLE WILL RUIN THOSE TEETH!!
Ended up my son needed 4 crowns which involved general anesthesia, his father and I have been nervous for months.. Those folks at sparkle instantly helped soothe our nerves when we arrived this morning, and my son felt as if they were all buddies forever. I didn’t realize we weren’t able to go back with him to be put under, but Rowan was so at ease that he went back there with the staff like a champ. We thought one tooth was so far gone that it would have to be extracted, but doctor Scott was able to find a way to save that poor tooth as well as fix the othersr three to perfection.
After years of beating myself up, my son finally has a beautiful smile. Truly, from the care and warmth to the actual expertise of the doctors there? I just want to tell every momma I know about them because I couldn’t believe how amazing this day we dreaded ended up being.

Beautiful office and nice staff. I was referred to a pediatric dentist because of one deep cavity. First visit they recommended crown, extraction and fillings. Second visit a month later they said they needed to re-X-ray where the crown went to see if it got worse then wanted to extract that and another tooth. I thought my son's teeth (6 years old) were just bad. Then I took my daughter because of their beautiful accommodating office. She had never had a cavity before and they did six fillings. She had no pain before and now has a super sensitive tooth post treatment and they now say it may need a root canal. The dentist that referred said one filling. I think the recommendations are aggressive.
My daughter has been going to Sparkle for a little over a year and every time there’s major work to be done, she becomes scared and it doesn’t get done however today we was graced by CDA Samantha and Dr. Lewis and they listened toy daughter concerns, took extra care with her and made her comfortable and got the job done ! They are angels at the Short Pump location ! Highly recommend them !!!

Very bad experience from the front desk and manager. Thye keep calling to confirm the appointment which I did through phone and text message. When I went today they are saying I dont have a insurance and you need to pay in full. I told I have an insurance, if they're issue with my insurance why have they not informed me. For which they dont have an answer and keep saying peoples are working from remote locations so they are not sure why it was not communicated.
I just have to share one of the best experiences with me and my little one. It was his first visit to a dentist. Everyone was kind caring and supportive. I was very informed and educated on every policy and procedure at the appointment. It was beyond kid friendly. I look forward to building a long time relationship with everyone at the office. I was nervous knowing all the on going issues with my little and I know everything will be okay we have the support to get him back to a beautiful health smile. Thank you all again you are appreciated in so many ways!!!
We switched our dentist that we have been going to since our son was 6 months to Sparkle and I’m so glad . I mean I can’t say enough about how great this place was and how friendly the environment and staff are. How patient they were with my son. They cater to children and i was so pleased. I recommend anyone looking for a dentist for their child to try out Sparkle in short pump.
