Saying goodbye to our beloved Yoshi after 10 years was heartbreaking, but Peaceful Transitions made it as dignified and peaceful as we could have hoped. By coming to our home and allowing Yoshi to be surrounded by family during his final moments, they showed true compassion. The preparation and aftercare were notably understanding, kind, dignified, and sincere — every detail mattered and reflected their genuine care. In our time of grief, it was deeply comforting to know he was handled with such respect and love. Yoshi deserved the best, and that's exactly what he received. Thank you, Dr. Loudon.
We can’t thank you guys for helping us during this hard time. Both my wife and I definitely recommend your assistance in helping other people in this Hard time in their lives with their pets. Everything was done professionally we can’t thank you enough
Working with Dr. Loudon and Natalie during the final stages of our Hailey’s life was the best experience we could have asked for during such an incredibly difficult time for our family. They provided so much warmth, compassion, and support as we navigated some very difficult circumstances toward the end of her life.
Going through palliative care with their guidance helped us feel reassured that we were making the best decisions we could for Hailey and putting her comfort and quality of life first. Having that support meant more to us than we can express.
We are so grateful to Dr. Loudon, Natalie, and the entire team for everything they did for Hailey and for us. Their care allowed us to have beautiful final moments with our girl and, ultimately, to find some peace and closure knowing that we did the right thing for her.
We cannot thank them enough and would wholeheartedly recommend them to any family facing this incredibly difficult stage of their pet’s life.

From the first phone call to the visit everything was handled with respect and compassion. I have recommended you to all of my dog walking friends. You made a difficult time bearable. The doctor that came to the house explained everything that was going to happen and took his time. I would highly recommend you. Thank you
Every detail of a very sad day for us as we had to say goodbye to our beloved dog Billy.was handled with the utmost compassion, care, patience and sensitivity. Dr. Matheson was genuinely caring,, reassuring,, had a very warm demeanor and calm presence. He completely respected and understood that it was a highly emotional situation. He was thoughtful in his approach and provided us with information about what to expect. Nothing was rushed. He supported us in navigating an emotional time and made it as comfortable as possible. He provided us with just the right amount of privacy to spend the last moments with our Billy boy. It was truly a beautiful and peaceful way to bid our boy farewell. Thank you Dr. Greg.
The best way to handle our worst case scenario. We had an an appointment with another service for later in the week, but our 16 year old cat Cinco declined rapidly and we needed an appointment sooner. I filled out Peaceful Transitions online form at 1am and they called promptly just after 8am that morning to schedule for later the same day. Dr. Greg was calm, kind, and explained every step. He treated us and our fur-baby with the utmost respect at a very difficult time for us which meant a lot. A million thanks to the entire staff.
I was a mess making the call to put down my cat ,16 years old & had cancer. Natalie was great scheduling everything,
Dr. Loudon made a very hard day bearable.
Everyone was great 👍🏻
Thank you!!
100000% recommend them!
The entire process was an absolute pleasure. Everyone was caring and understanding of me and my family of this unfortunate circumstance. The whole team made sure our needs were met with compassion and dignity
There are not enough words to express how grateful I am to Dr. Loudon and Natalie at Peaceful Transitions for the beautiful way they helped my family say goodbye to my sweet Pepe.
From my very first conversation with Natalie, I felt such genuine compassion and care. She went above and beyond to support me through one of the most difficult moments of my life, always making me feel heard, reassured, and understood. She reminded me that I was giving Pepe the final act of kindness by allowing him to let go peacefully and with dignity. Her compassion and continued support have meant more to me than she probably realizes.
When the time came, Dr. Loudon was incredibly compassionate, gentle, and respectful toward Pepe and our family. She took the time to get to know him and us, and made sure we were comfortable every step of the way. She created an environment where we could simply be present with Pepe and honor him with the love and dignity he deserved.
Dr. Loudon gave us exactly the kind of goodbye I had hoped for… peaceful, loving, dignified, and surrounded by the people who loved him most. She created such a calm and comforting environment that we could simply be present with Pepe and focus on loving him. It never felt like we were simply receiving a service; she understood that this was one of the most difficult and sacred moments our family would ever experience and treated Pepe and all of us with such compassion, empathy, and kindness. I will forever be grateful to Dr. Loudon for helping create such a peaceful transition for my sweet boy and for giving us the beautiful goodbye he deserved.
If you are searching for a peaceful in-home farewell for your beloved pet, I cannot recommend Peaceful Transitions enough. They will help you create a loving and dignified goodbye that honors the incredible bond you share with your pet.
I know my sweet Pepe is at peace now, and I will always be grateful that Dr. Loudon and Natalie were there to help me and my family through this difficult journey.
Dr. Loudon and Natalie will always hold a very special place in my family's heart.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart. ❤️🐾
On the absolute worst day of our lives, we were grateful for Dr. Loudon. Being able to send our sweet boy over the rainbow bridge while he rested peacefully on his favorite spot on the couch, surrounded by his family, after eating steak and chocolate ice cream, is the only experience I could imagine. Being able to have Dr. Loudon there, quietly offering comfort to our darling boy, while walking us through the procedure, was nothing short of a gift. She was gentle, compassionate, calm, and loving. It was the most heart-wrenching moment I've ever experienced, but I will never forget the kindness and serenity she gave us all, Anakin included. 🐾
Thank you so much Dr. Greg , it was not an easy decision for my boy Paco . You talked us through the process so calmly and you were so gentle with my dog. I really appreciate for what you do for families and pets that go through this difficult time. Thank you again , I miss Paco so much💔
I'm so greatful for peaceful passing. Dr Louden was so kind and compassionate. My sweet boy was so comfortable being at home, I promised him I would never put him in the crate again.

I wish I could give an infinite amount of stars! I felt cared for through every step of this process. Natalie, Nel and Dr Matheson were so kind, compassionate and empathetic. We unfortunately had one cat pass peacefully on her own the night before we had the appointment for her sister. They were born together and passed together. (They wouldn’t survive long without each other as they were very bonded) The office arranged for both girls to be transported and cremated together. Dr Matheson took such great care of my girls, as if they were his own. His energy is so calm and peaceful, exactly what we prayed for. They both passed peacefully surrounded by love and caring hands. If you’re ever in need of this service please dont hesitate to make an appointment. Long Beach, NY

Kathleen, thank you for trusting us with your beautiful kitty. The story about her sister's passing the night before brought tears to my eyes. It's beautiful that they came into this world together and left it together too. I'm grateful that Natalie, Nel, and Dr. Matheson could make her sister's transition gentle and easy for her. Both of your girls are at peace now, together, surrounded by the love you gave them. Thank you so much for this beautiful review.

They were very kind to us and to my rat Zazu. Zazu wasn’t just a rat - he was our family and Dr. Matheson was very empathetic to that. He was so calm, patient, and understanding of what we were going through. From the call operator being kind and understanding to our emotions on the phone to Dr. Matheson - everyone was just so caring. I felt like everything was explained very well and we didn’t feel rushed. Our treating vet was closed and unfortunately it was his time to depart us after months and months of treatments. Our vet had recommended home euthanasia for when his condition deteriorated, but so many that we called that morning wouldn’t treat rodents. It was a godsend that they did and were knowledgeable about proper protocols for a rat. They arrived quickly to us, which was really appreciated given the condition he was facing. It was a very unfortunate circumstance to be in, but they treated us and him with a lot of respect and dignity. I’d recommend to anyone. Having this done privately and comfortably in our home was worth every penny for both us and Zazu. His final moments were peaceful at home, in our arms, surrounded with love. I couldn’t have asked for more. I hope to never be in this circumstance again, but if we do find ourselves here with our mischief it won’t be a question of who we call. There is no better way to go through such a painful thing. We really appreciate you.

Shannon, thank you for sharing this. Zazu was lucky to have you as his family, and we're honored you trusted us with such a tender moment. Dr. Matheson and our whole team believe every animal deserves calm, respectful care at the end of life, no matter their species, and we're glad that came through for you and Zazu. Home euthanasia exists exactly for moments like this, so a beloved companion can pass peacefully, surrounded by the people who love them. We're so sorry for your loss, and we're grateful you took the time to write this 💜.

I live in Patchogue ny and have used this place twice in 3 years. I can say enough of how they handled this overwhelming situation both times. So thoughtful and caring from the 1st time to the last moment. Was probably the hardest decision I had to make, but my yorkie felt safe in his own home with us. Would highly recommend them if you ever have to make this time with your pet memorable and loving.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Louden and the team at Peaceful Transitions.
Natalie was my coordinator. She was so patient, so kind, so compassionate, and supportive as I cried a lot during our calls. She made navigating this incredibly difficult time a little easier.
Dr. Louden is truly an angel and loving helped my sweet Tommy cross the rainbow bridge as if he were her own.
She was so incredibly kind and compassionate. You can feel that she genuinely cares for you and your furry loved one.
Dr. Louden gently explained the process and we were given all the time we needed both before and after our boy crossed.
There aren't words to express how grateful we are to Dr. Louden and Natalie for everything they did for Tommy and for us.

We used Peaceful Transitions when it was time to say goodbye to our baby girl, Jenny, who was 17 years old. Jenny was so much more than a pet to us. She was part of our family and, in so many ways, she made our house a home.
Saying goodbye to her was one of the hardest things we have ever had to do, but having Greg come to our home made an incredibly difficult experience feel a little more peaceful. From the moment he arrived, Greg was warm, compassionate, and incredibly calming. He took the time to explain the entire process to us and made sure we understood what was happening every step of the way. He treated Jenny with so much gentleness and respect, and he gave us the time and space we needed to say goodbye.
One detail that has stayed with us was when it was time to take Jenny. Greg carefully placed her in a beautiful wicker basket and wrapped her in a soft blanket. It was such a simple gesture, but it meant so much to us. Even in that heartbreaking moment, she was treated with the same love and care that she had received throughout her life.
We will always be grateful to Greg and Peaceful Transitions for helping us through one of the most painful days we have ever experienced. There is no easy way to say goodbye to a member of your family, but their compassion and professionalism made an unbearable moment feel a little more peaceful.
Thank you for taking such good care of our Jenny.

There are no words that adequately express our gratefulness to Peaceful Transitions and Dr. Greg. Dr. Greg with his soft spoken gentle manner allowed our 15 yr old lab, Carley, to pass over in the most dignified, peaceful way. The compassion shown by Peaceful Transitions was evident from the 1st phone call until Carley passed on. Dr. Greg treated Carley with such gentleness and dignity. Because of him and the people at Peaceful Transitions we can look upon that day not just as one of sadness but of tranquility and peace.
