I worked with Patriot Angels to help my mom receive veterans benefits she was eligible for to aid in the cost of her memory care expenses. Everything the team did at Patriot Angels made the entire process from application to approval so much easier for me. 7 Days! This company is absolutely phenomenal! Worried about my grandfathers lack of income and having quality living arrangements to suit his needs someone referred me to patriots angels and thank God they did. We paid their initial fee and began the process once we found out he would be a great candidate for approval. I’m very busy at home with work and kids and it took months for me to gather all of the paperwork needed but that was my fault someone who is persistent could gather what’s needed in a week or less. Anyhow they never lost touch during that time they offered support and constant followups friendly and professional every single time they are top notch. Once paperwork was submitted I was expecting a 90 day approval and it took 7 DAYS!! That’s right 7 DAYS! I’m sure everyone is different this was just my case. I can’t thank them enough. If your loved one is a good candidate for this program please dont hesitate to go with Patriot Angels!

Additionally, during the process, a Patriot Angels representative told my husband that “your wife is lying” regarding submitted bank statements. Two days later, Patriot Angels “found” the documents and apologized confirming that statement was false, unprofessional, and deeply inappropriate.
Most recently, I spoke with a representative named CJ, who stated unequivocally that Patriot Angels does not give refunds whatsoever period. He said that because the “process is complete,” refunds are not issued, and that being unhappy with compensation is not a valid reason for a refund. He further stated he has been in his role for nearly 10 years, could forward my concerns to his supervisor, but “can guarantee” that no refund would be issued.
I made it very clear that the refund request has nothing to do with dissatisfaction over compensation, and everything to do with misrepresentation, false timelines, documented errors, and being accused of lying. Despite this, my concerns were dismissed, and the refusal to refund appeared to be automatic and predetermined.
I also want to note that when I checked Patriot Angels’ Google reviews several months ago, their rating was not anywhere near the current 4.9 rating now displayed. While I cannot speak to how those numbers changed, I can say that after sharing our experience, I have personally spoken with multiple other families who described nearly identical issues including misunderstandings about stacking benefits, long delays, and being denied refunds when concerns were raised.
When families are making irreversible decisions about assisted living, accurate explanations of VA benefit structures matter. Being told benefits will stack when the filing chosen does not allow that can cause serious financial and housing consequences.
Families considering Patriot Angels should be aware:
• VA Pension with Aid & Attendance offsets existing benefits
• Back pay may be far less than represented
• Timelines may extend far beyond what is promised
• Refunds are categorically denied, even when misinformation and misconduct are involved
I strongly encourage families to seek accredited VA assistance and verify which benefit path is being filed before making any elder-care or housing decisions.
Listen up. I’m here to tell you that I lean on reviews heavily. And I read the reviews here and decided to give Patriot Angels a chance. And I’m here to tell you that they did not disappoint. I had Ms. Katherine and team Kilo handle my case. I took the risk and paid the fee. They sent me a checklist and forms on what needed to get done. I did have to do my part and gather documents and fill forms out and get other folks to fill out forms as well. I will tell you this…STICK with it! The effort is worth it. Yes you will get some obstacles but you got to work thru them if you want this to work. In the end, I am completely appreciative for what they did! YES, it is worth the fee! I only wish I would have known about them sooner. Thank you, Ms. Katherine and Team Kilo for your guidance and patience AND ALWAYS calling and emailing to check on me and my progress. That’s what really kept me to keep working at it. Thank you all once again.

I can't say enough about this amazing organization. My Dad who is 95 recently needed to move from Independant Living to Assisted Living. Patriot Angels was a Godsend for us. They guided us through every step in applying for Mom's benefits. They provide one on one, personal assistance from beginning to end. They even helped obtain certified documents that were needed. You provide the required documents and they assemble the application and submit it. They monitor the application through the whole process once it is submitted and help take care of any issues. I don't think we would have been successful without them.
My Father-in-Law served in the Korean War and retired from the Navy after 20 years... many, many, many, years ago. He never signed up for VA Benefits; he didn't think he needed them. He went on to work for the Federal Reserve and retired from there, too! He never thought about visiting a VA hospital for himself, but would go to visit others. Such a wonderful, kind and caring man, and then the disease of Dementia hit hard at the age of 95. He and his wife both diagnosed with the darkness of dementia at the same time and our world as kids and caregivers turned upside down! They both needed to reside in a Memory Care for the remainder of their days, but this would have been impossible if it has not been for Patriot Angels! Because of Patriot Angels, they reside in a wonderful memory care facility with a caring dementia-trained staff who take care of them like they are family. Patriot Angels kept in contact via email and if I ever had a question, they always had the answer; they made life easy because they knew how stressed-out-to-the-max I was! Patriot Angels was there for me in helping my Father-in-Law and that is something I will always be grateful for, because without them, I would not have known which way to turn. He's safe, he's secure, he's happy, he's united with his wife, and for the FIRST TIME IN HIS LIFE, he's getting his VA Benefits!!! ~A proud daughter-in-law of a war-serving veteran of the US Navy!
The entire staff at Patriot Angels was patient, knowledgeable, informative and kind while helping us through an amazingly detailed and complicated application process. Words cannot express. Because of their help and expertise, our mother is living in a beautiful senior living facility. I don't know how an individual could qualify for Surviving Spouse VA Benefits without their guidance.
