Our appointment for my 4-year-old daughter was scheduled for noon on Friday, and we arrived on time. After about 15 minutes in the waiting room, we were taken back. The hygienist was excellent with my daughter, completed her cleaning, and scheduled her follow-up appointment.
Following the cleaning, X-rays were taken, which we had consented to beforehand. During the process, several images had to be retaken. It appeared that the staff members involved were distracted by side conversations, which contributed to delays and repeated X-rays.
Afterward, we were told the doctor would come speak with us. We waited approximately 15 minutes in the exam room before the doctor briefly stopped in and told us she would meet us in the consultation room. Once there, we waited another 15 minutes or more while several patients who arrived after us appeared to complete their visits and leave.
Concerned that we may have been overlooked, I checked with the front desk. Shortly afterward, a technician came in to discuss my daughter's cavities and explain the proposed treatment plan. At that point, we had still not had an opportunity to speak with the doctor. We had several questions regarding treatment options and next steps, but were told we could continue waiting if we wanted to speak with the doctor. Given that we had already been there for approximately an hour and a half, we chose to leave.
I was also disappointed with the discussion regarding dietary changes. While I understand nutrition plays a role in dental health, the recommendations provided felt overly rigid and did not leave much room for a realistic conversation about moderation, practical changes, or age-appropriate habits.
The hygienist provided excellent care, but the repeated delays, lack of communication, and inability to discuss my daughter's treatment directly with the doctor left us frustrated and dissatisfied with the overall experience.
We like our experience there. Very helpful and friendly. Stuff were nice.
