I visited Tenerife for the first time in February of 2025 and had found Paraholic and Oana through Cross Country Magazine travel issues from years past. I had a couple of choices for rides and retrieval but Oana was right on it with her quick response to my inquiry.
When I arrived I quickly realized I had made the right choice.
I am an experienced pilot and was looking mainly for site introduction, shuttles to launch and xc retrieval. Oana gave me all the site and island specific information I needed. And despite different levels of pilot experience in the groups, Oana was able to accommodate each pilot’s comfort level and ability.
Her local knowledge of sites, weather patterns and xc routes is exceptional. She delivered me and the other pilots to the right launches at exactly the right times and eliminated all the guesswork I would have had in trying to learn these sites by myself (as is usually the case when travelling). Several times we would arrive at launch with the wind over the back and by the time we had set up it had turned to perfect conditions as the “Oana Winds” turned on.
She was great about driving out to retrieve me on the xc flights I made when I failed to return to the main lz’s, too.
And she has a great van! Not the usually rattling contraptions I am used to riding to launch in.
I spent 2 weeks on Tenerife and flew all but 3 days. I will certainly be calling Oana when I come back.

I’ve literally had such a good time at Paraholic Tenerif. Oana is really nice and a great coach. She really knows what she is talking about and showed us amazing places to fly as well as coach me. I have got more out of the three days with Oana than all the days since CP! Thank you. See you again.

Oana is an amazing guide! She brought us to multiple beautiful spots around Tenerife, showed us all possible landing and backup landing areas, guided through thermaling, provided personal feedback to help us improve. I had 4 days of perfect flying with oana. Iam a new pilot and she take a look for every start flight and landing by radio. I felt very safe following her instructions. She have a realy good knowledge for conditions. Make shure you dont eat in the car its brand knew. I also land on the beach (dont forget your swim gear) 😁. I would give 6 stars to her. I can fully recomend her as guide or for coaching. Thank you for the great air time.

Oana is a great guide, I had a great fly experience with her. All take-off she choose were fantastic and I've had 11 marvelous flights in 6 days!! I will come back again next year for sure!!!

Oana is a great guide - we flew the best sites every day in very varied conditions. Perfect retrieve service and the videos of take offs were really useful to improve our skills. Will be back! Giada and Matt
