My daughter has attended Papilio St Kilda since 9 months old, and at 16 months I couldn’t be happier with the care and support she receives. Her educators, Trinh and Zoe, were so nurturing during her transition and supported me as I returned to work. I really value the extra-curricular activities, regular updates and goal-setting, which help me stay involved and support her learning at home. I also love that teachers from other rooms are part of her daily care, it gives me confidence knowing she’s building relationships across the centre as she grows and moves rooms. The whole centre feels warm, welcoming and family-oriented, and the healthy seasonal menu is a big hit with her. I’m so grateful for the community Papilio provides.

My child has been attending Papilio st kilda and absolutely loves it there. The Papilio team go out there way with extra care for your child and their needs, a loving, vibrant, happy environment and a safe and happy feeling as a parants knowing your child is in the best care and learning. The Papilio st kilda team go above and beyond to cater for your child’s individual needs. I am super happy with this child care and would highly recommend. And so grateful for all the hard work and effort into my child’s and growth. This centre has helped my child develop majorly and really enjoys it there and all the fun activities provided and attention. Fantastic centre 😊

This is a great childcare centre! The staff are nothing but attentive and supportive, and our 2 year old has really enjoyed attending and made great friends. The staff always kept us informed of daily activities and how our toddler was during the day. Would highly recommend to others.

We could not have asked for a better day care centre for our daughter. She has been going here for the last 7 months and has settled in so well. It feels like a home away from home and the educators are such wonderful people. They always welcome and acknowledge her at morning drop off, and when I go to pick her up the educators will always mention how she got on that day. The communication is fantastic - you receive daily updates through an app with photos of what they did that day and the chef also provides regular updates on the menu plan. My daughter loves it so much that she’ll often look for us to take her there at the weekend! I would highly recommend Papilio!! Thank you Emmely and your team of wonderful educators ❤️

Papilio is our dream day care!!! Our daughter started a year ago now and we honestly could not rave about the educators enough. We were so nervous that our little one wouldn’t settle, but she is so happy and loves being dropped off every single time. Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of our girl. My child has been going to Papilio since 8 months old and is now 18 months. She settled in so quickly and is so excited to go each day. The culture feels strong with lovely community events during the year. The nursery staff are caring, conscientious and prepare engaging activities for the children each day. My child adores the room leads who have been consistent throughout her time in the nursery. I found I did not have to provide copious planning or information about my child's routine because they have it so under control and are responsive to her changing needs. The children are always outside (as much as Melbourne weather permits). I love the daily updates about what the babies have been up to!

Great day care. They took the time to settle our kid in and he loves it, lots of activities and teaching diversity and languages. Receiving photos everyday and seeing the carers always giving their best and enjoying themselves which makes it fun for the kids too. They always have loads of themed days depending on the calendar and loads of outdoor time when weather allows which is important for me for my kid to have. If/when we have another kid it will definitely be coming here too

My son Thomas started at Papilio when he was 4 months old 4 days a week, now is 7 months old. It’s been the absolute best for his development. All the ladies there are gems and have bonded so much with my son he opens his arms and wants to cuddle them when I drop him off in the morning. Always really clean place. Professional staff that follow all the child’s needs. Really good activities every day, twice daily reports with photos so you know what’s been happening. Amazing place, totally recommend.

This centre is fantastic, my children attending this centre. My daughter been in love with toddler 1 room since her 1st day,she feels it's her home. she doesn't want to leave when we pick her up every afternoon and my son been going almost 2 years now. My son is neurodivergent so he's not easy to handle and often throw tantrums especially during drop off time but the educators knows how to manage him. They provide what he needs for learn and works together to promote his strengths. We notices he has improves a lot. Together with this centre we optimistic that my son can attend normal school. As now he is more comfortable and confident when we not around. This centre also working together with my son Therapist ( speech therapy, OT ). Their collaboration have provided great strategies to helps him with his development. Especially thank you to centre manager Maddie, pre kinder team leader Michaella and teams for your hard work and dedication

Have had our son attend Papilio since he was 8 months old. I've had consistent carers who are very competent and caring in the Nursery room! Center is well run by Madeline the center manager. I feel that my child is looked after and have really developed in the time he has been there. He has learnt and experienced things he wouldn't have done at home. Recommend!

I have been hesitant to review because I frankly don’t want to hear from this childcare because I’m so angry at their treatment, but I just have to say if you’re considering this childcare and you’re aware your child is neurodivergent in some way, I would just tell you to reconsider - the structure, their attitudes and lack of compassion really negatively impacted my child (and mine) mental health. I have since met a couple other parents who felt the same and have gone somewhere else. Notes about childs ‘table manners’ or ‘disruptive emotions’, not being inclusive to non traditional families or family structure and failure to recognise or accommodate behaviour that will happen with a child with a disability and just the absolute poor communication and attitude. It was a really terrible experience for us. To be fair, obviously some people love this place and maybe it’s just a learning curve as a lot of the workers appear fresh from TAFE or uni but I just had to say if your child is not neurotypical I would show a little caution choosing this childcare or kindergarten. I’m sure there could be a response from Papilio to this but this was my authentic honest experience and my feelings will not change about our time there.

Audrina was a shy girl with little English skill when joined Papilio. At the end, she came back a confident girl and developed a passion for hand bag design. We thank Maddy and all other educators that helped her to get a head start at school. She can confidently read the books and adapted to the programs due to her prior learning at Papilio.

I was adamant because this was bub's first daycare experience after he turned 2, and it also happened that we needed to enrol him full Mon-Fri. They were amazing up to the point of turning from cried upon being dropped off till cried upon being picked up! Bub also has some speech delay but they helped him so much we could actually see significant improvement to his speech, even his habit as well. The team in Papilio even learned to say simple greetings in our native language to accommodate bub, so appreciate that they went above and beyond. Thank you Papilio and all the lovely ladies (and one gent I believe!) hope you guys know how much you had helped our bub and our family. <3

We couldn't have wished for a more nurturing childcare centre for our son. The educators are kind, warm, incredibly competent and go out of their way to make every child feel welcome. The program is comprehensive and educational but not too structured - which we like! Children undertake a range of fun activities every day - music lessons, yoga, art work, dress up days, gardening and cooking. The management and communication is excellent. Our son never wanted to leave when we picked him up at the end of the day. It was a joy watching him grow at Papilio during this 12 months at the centre. He has developed so many important social skills that will help set him up for life. Thank you Papilio team! We are so grateful and will miss you.
