My mental health has suffered for many years despite multiple attempts to see specialists, but just after a few weeks seeing Sean Kim, NP I am doing so much better. He really listens to me and I can tell he is a compassionate provider. I am also working with Riley to set up TMS therapy and she has been so kind and helpful and has been working diligently to get it set up despite insurance snags. I never thought life could feel good like this and I have Pacific Mind Health to thank for it.

I enjoy seeing Shira Crohn, she is kind, friendly, and very professional. She understands my symptoms and provides knowledgeable feedback and options for solutions. I've seen a few psychiatrist and so far I've felt more understood by her. I like her directness when it comes to finding a solution to a symptom and keeps me accountable on my end as well. I highly recommend her!

I feel lucky to have gotten Rachel as my psychiatrist. She was so kind and I felt so comfortable talking to her. I would definitely recommend coming here, especially if you are anxious about trying a nice place. I will continue coming here as long as possible! :)

I’m not sure how to put this but here is my experience with this place, I filled out a very long and difficult enrollment packet. The time given for filling out this lengthy form is 24hours. It was a struggle to get this in on time as a disabled person who needs assistance. The enrollment forms are required to confirm an appointment. The office was kind and extended the time period for me and I was able to get it all filled out. So I log into my video appointment, I spend the next hour trying to paint a good picture of my medical history, conditions, symptoms etc, I like many psych patients have a hard time being vulnerable and open it drags a lot of issues to the surface. It’s always a struggle as a patient with memory issues to list every medication I’ve tried over the last 30 years but the whole conversation seems to hinge on this list of meds, I can name a few but mostly I remember what class of drugs and the most recent few I’ve tried, and I still get “what are the other meds? Can you remember any more? Do you know the names of those meds?” Over and over. As the hour is almost up I’m told they will not be able to take me on as a patient. Hospitalization at least partially with a program is the only resource I’m given, I ask for guidance getting my anxiety meds managed as every doctor including primary care says the psychiatrist is the only person who can manage that prescription, then I get the same ole’ “drugs are bad, we don’t want you to get addicted, research shows longtime use has cognitive issues” for a medication I’ve been on for 30 years and never had addiction issues with, a medication for which there is no adequate substitute which I know because I have tried all of them, a medication that prevents me from needing treatment in the ER, a medication I rely on. Considering the same doctor believes I need such intensive care her only advice is the hospital can help but I can’t, however going off my longtime anxiety meds is totally fine. I asked for medication help, I got nothing, I asked if they could help me find a therapist who deals with patients like me, and again I got nothing, I asked for another option to this partial hospitalization and outpatient program suggestion since due to my physical health I can’t get around at all on my walker, and still nothing. So I’m out $30 for my copay, I need help, I struggle with asking for it and believing I could feel better, that things can change and that my effort matters. So this appointment didn’t serve me very well, but it did damage every hope I had, it did make me feel broken and it did make me lose any remaining hope that there’s anyone out there who can help or is willing to even try. This place isn’t good and it isn’t bad it seems to be towing the same line as most of the other places I’ve tried, so if this sounds familiar to you and you’re looking to break the cycle and really get some help from a professional who’s gonna listen to you and work hard to get you meaningful help and work towards something better My advice is skip this place it’s just more of the same.
I’ve sadly needed to add to this review. Once I made a review here they used my review against my private medical and personal information to hunt me down find my cell number and call me, according to the guy who called some manager or whoever Esther my psych appt doc is new and that’s not the type of care they provide. I asked if she’s so new why is she not supervised why after 159 minute basic intake was this new person able to not take me as a patient but can recommend higher care and partial hospitalization with no oversight?? You only called me because of a review you don’t want to hurt your reputation. I say I do not want to do this I’m scared to even try another doctor this experience is making me scared to seek help, they offer to send me info and at this point I feel like they’re hounding me I get texts from the hospitalization reds I get texts I get phone calls every day. Finally yesterday, I told them take me off any list I am not a patient don’t contact me ever.

My appointment with Nazish Siddiqui was so great--she's very welcoming and put me at ease. I appreciated how thorough and knowledgeable she is, and she really took her time to get to know me and ask me questions. Highly recommend.

Mental health medication titration: Psychiatrist Dr Gol Ara from Southern California was very knowledgeable, intelligent and mostly helpful in taking me off Klonopin which is difficult to do. She was also very pleasant. We had to work by video because l live in Northern CALIFORNIA.
However, no one is perfect and she fell short in a couple of areas. ( l should mention l have a Masters in Psychology thus l know the regulations for conducting a therapeutic session.) She cut Ten minutes off every session and was often distracted by her dog or occasionally distracted by other patients (once she was rather upset by a suicidal patient.) These latter two issues are none of my business.
But the current unresolved problem is that l was just told by her manager: Pacific Mind Health: They are unwilling to accept my insurance and l must pay cash for almost a year of treatment. And my last appointment with her was cancelled. I volunteered to pay the full fee for the last appointment because l have some important questions to ask her. The company said they are exploring why my insurance won't pay and will get back to me. Finally Dr Gol Ara did not tell me this; the company did. I feel badly saying this but feel it should be said.
