I had an excellent experience at Torrance Bariatric Institute . From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly pleasant, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. Everyone I encountered was friendly and made me feel comfortable and cared for. The doctors are truly amazing. They take their time to sit with you, listen without interrupting, and allow you to fully explain your concerns. I never felt rushed or overlooked. They provided a very detailed outline of my care, making sure I understood every step of the process, which gave me a great sense of confidence and reassurance. Overall, the level of professionalism, compassion, and attentiveness here is outstanding. I highly recommend this surgical center to anyone looking for quality care and a supportive, patient-centered experience.

Seems like a good doctor and very friendly, staff is good. It is recommended that if you’re considering bariatric bypass surgery, to do the research on it. The rate of alcoholism will increased dramatically in many patients. Research has suggested it’s a transfer addiction.

I have worked in the medical industry for over 24 years and I have never seen patients being treated with so much respect and empathy. From the very first appt to the post op appointments I knew I was supported in my path, I was not alone, I had faith in the surgeons, nurses, medical assistants, coordinators and front desk staff. Everything was smooth and easy, and I was treated like a human being not a number. Surgery is always a major decision and making that decision with this team was effortless because they are simply amazing in every way possible. I could not be more grateful.

So happy with the decision I made to go to Torrance Bariatric Institute for my GS procedure. The facility is super clean and welcoming and all the staff were extremely nice, helpful and knowledgeable. I requested Dr. Angelo based on other reviews I have read and I am happy I did. She has great bedside manner, makes sure she answers all questions I may have and has made me extremely comfortable from my initial appointment up until now being 3 months PO. I have already had great success with my weight loss in just a few months and the process to get to this point has been very manageable for me. Best decision I have made for my life! Thank you to everyone involved from the front desk up to the doctors, highly recommend this facility.

From the start, the staff was great to work with, especially when it came to handling insurance issues. They made the process easy and took the time to help, which removed a lot of stress going in. The procedures themselves were a positive experience. The nurses and doctors were kind, reassuring, and made everything feel comfortable and manageable. The surgery was truly life-changing. After seeing other doctors who couldn’t find or fix the issue, Dr. Cohen was a blessing. My life has genuinely changed because of him and the entire team involved in my care. I had an excellent experience at the Torrance Bariatric Institute. The nursing staff was incredibly caring, attentive, and professional throughout my stay. The doctors were calm, reassuring, and very detailed when explaining each step of the process. I was scheduled for a hiatal hernia repair and a gastric sleeve-to-bypass conversion, and every member of the team made sure I understood exactly what would happen. The anesthesiologist was kind, explained the process clearly, and checked in multiple times to make sure I was comfortable and didn’t have any unanswered questions. What stood out most was how personal and thoughtful the care felt. Everyone took their time to understand my specific situation and to ensure I felt safe and heard. They even asked what type of music I enjoy and played swing music in the operating room as I drifted off to sleep, which helped ease my nerves. Aftercare was just as impressive. Hydration was a constant priority, and the staff frequently checked on me without being intrusive. They even joined me on my walks to make sure I was steady on my feet and to see if I needed any assistance. Overall, I felt genuinely cared for from start to finish and would highly recommend Torrance Bariatric Institute to anyone considering surgery.

I honestly don’t have enough words to express how grateful I am for Dr. Angelo. From the very first appointment, she made me feel comfortable, heard, and truly cared for. Choosing to have gastric sleeve surgery is a big and emotional decision, and Dr. Angelo approached every step with so much kindness, patience, and understanding that it immediately put me at ease. Her bedside manner is exceptional. Recently had hernia surgery. Office staff and team was very professional and accommodating. It was a “last minute” decision for me, and they were more than helpful in every way. They explained my options as well as the risks and concerns involved. They checked in with me before and after surgery offering to answer any questions I might have regarding. I was able to reach out via text message as well asking questions involving pre-op and post-op concerns, and they were very good at getting back to me and were knowledgeable with the information provided in return. Made me feel confident that I was in good hands. I would definitely recommend Dr. Roohipour and his team to anyone inquiring.

I just want to say I am truly blessed and grateful to the doctors who performed my surgery, especially Dr. Cohen. I am extremely happy happyyy happyyyy with my results. I have lost a significant amount of weight, which has helped tremendously especially since I have had spine surgeries, and the extra weight was definitely not helping at all. The process leading up to the surgery went by quickly. Recovery was a little difficult at first, but after the first month, things started to improve slowly. Over time, you develop healthy habits around how to eat and drink. It truly is a process, but it is absolutely worth it. I would also like to thank all the staff who helped me every step of the way and made sure everything was completed smoothly. I don’t know how much more thankful I could be, other than to say how truly blessed I feel. Cheers to a new lifestyle! I highly recommend the Torrance Bariatric institute office to anyone or to a loved one who is considering a positive lifestyle change. I am thrilled with the services I have received from Dr. Roohipour and his team. The first day I called looking for help after a botched gastric sleeve surgery, Dr. Roohipour, cleared time in his schedule to meet with the very next day. I met with Dr. Roohipour and PA Katie and I felt totally confident that they would be able to help me get back some quality of life. Their entire team is knowledgeable, compassionate and responsive. I am grateful that I found this team, slowly but surely my life is returning to normal.
