Excellent Service Posting for a client per his request in his own words. Reading other people's google reviews regarding Mitch from Oxford Piano Service Inc. made me realize that I am just one of many who have had the good fortune benefiting from his skills and expertise. He took a one hundred-and-twenty-five -year-old upright Heintzman, rebuilt it at his shop, and it now plays like a new piano. I was brought to tears when I first played it, the sound was so incredible. On January 16, it had its first tuning. Mitch spent far more time tuning than anyone else ever has and let me watch while explaining what he was doing. He is such a pleasant person to deal with and I would highly recommend him to anyone needing care for their piano. His finale was playing a mini concert of two Chopin Nocturnes -Such a delight. I recently had Mitch do a full regulation of my grand piano, which I recently purchased used. I was already in good condition, but I felt like something was off and it could be a lot better. I wasn't sure how much difference the regulation would make, but let me tell you - zero regrets. It plays and sounds like a brand new piano now. Really impressed with the service and Mitch was a pleasure to work with. Always responsive in communication and happy to answer any stupid questions I had.

Before I moved to Cambridge in Jan 2022, I contacted Mitch to enquire if he could tune my baby grand piano once it had settled into it's new home. From the first conversation I found Mitch to be very kind natured and sensitive, listening to my own personal concerns regarding my piano which is vital to my life and how I earn my living. I feel very fortunate to have Mitch as my piano tuner and I find great comfort knowing that if something goes wrong, whether it's noises with the pedal, or installing a humidifier, or needing voicing, no matter the issues that may arise, Mitch knows what he is doing and I would highly recommend! My piano never sounds more beautiful than just after Mitch has been by for a tuning. Thank you Mitch! You are the best!!!!

We have an old upright piano that was handed down to us. I always thought it sounded fine but decided to call a pro. Mitch took so much care with our piano and we can’t get over how much better it sounds after being tuned! Mitch recently did excellent work to improve the voicing and overall quality of sound and action of my 35 year old Kawai. He was attentive to my specific requests, and worked carefully and meticulously to correct and refurbish the piano as was needed.

Hi highly recommend this company. Mitch was extremely professional, kind, courteous and knowledgeable. He said the tuning of my piano was as bad as it gets, but that's because in about 35 years, it's never been tuned (I know, very bad owner), but, when Mitch was finished with it he played the most beautiful song and the piano sounds absolutely new. I would highly recommend Mitch's services. He was on time, professional, courteous and clearly knew his stuff. I inherited a Yamaha piano and it hadn't been played in quite a while. Not only did he tune it beautifully, but he was also very knowledgeable about Yamaha's pianos (and all pianos, it would seem!) and was able to answer all of my questions.
