Stephanie (Oxford Partners Associate) navigated a daunting legal process with empathy and professionalism while dealing with an incredibly difficult other side and I cannot recommend Oxford Partners highly enough.
Stephanie is thorough, knowledgeable, strategic and laid out my options with clarity and fiercely protected my interests with integrity.
I am grateful for her persistence and strategy and the great outcome we achieved right to the end.
Stephanie was available, prompt and responsive and when high pressure situations arose this is the lawyer you need!
The overriding consideration was my best interest and peace of mind.
Thank you Stephanie and Oxford Partners!!!

Incredible, after twelve long months, I am all done and dusted with my parenting matters, words can’t describe the support I have had from Oxford Partners, the whole team especially Christina and Jade, Thankyou for everything and for fighting for me all the way through, great team, great people, highly recommend.
I cannot recommend Oxford Partners highly enough.
After years of my family law matter stalling, Rebecca took over just six months before my family law proceeding trial and completely turned it around. From the outset, I felt reassured I was finally in capable hands. Her can-do mindset, strategic clarity, efficiency and focus on the key issues made an immediate difference.
Rebecca combines professionalism with genuine empathy. She understood the seriousness of my situation and its impact on my relationship with my children and approached everything with care and diligence. I felt she was not only representing me but truly invested in achieving a fair outcome.
Her communication was clear, prompt, and realistic. She provided honest advice, handled issues swiftly and showed strong attention to detail throughout.
Rebecca’s ability to turn around a complex, long-running matter in such a short time speaks volumes about her expertise. I truly believe that had I engaged her earlier, I would have saved significant time, cost, and emotional stress.
I am deeply grateful for her work and would highly recommend her to anyone needing a skilled and dedicated family law firm and lawyer.
I recently went through a settlement process and became very comfortable relying on my lawyer’s advice during what was always a challenging process. I found the team at Oxford Lawyers to be extremely professional, knowledgeable, and always acting in my best interest. I highly recommend Kyla in particular, who worked with me throughout the entire process. She was clear and thorough in explaining everything, went above and beyond to ensure I understood each step, and at times even sought out additional access and information that would be beneficial to me. Her professionalism, dedication, and genuine care made a difficult process much easier and gave me real peace of mind.
Thank you

Extremely disappointing service
Very slow process, as it took almost a year to finalize the separation settlement. Throughout, I felt ignored and that my instructions were not followed. The high fees were frustrating, especially given the treatment I received. Being told afterward that the outcome was good did not make up for the poor experience.

I've been extremely impressed with the professionalism and empathy shown by Oxford Partners. My family law matter was very challenging, involving difficult decisions and emotional moments, but they helped me navigate everything with clarity and confidence. The team was prompt in communication, realistic with expectations, and always ensured my best interests were protected. Highly recommended for anyone facing complex family law issues.
I have absolutely no hesitation in highly recommending Oxford Partners - Family Lawyers. They have helped me immensely, very recently and a little while prior. I cannot speak more highly about the entire team and most recently about Rebecca Rothschild. She has also been super helpful, super efficient, always so very approachable and always an absolute pleasure to deal with. I can't thank you enough, Rebecca and the entire team!
Wishing you all a very lovely Christmas and a terrific new year.
Please stay safe.
Kind regards,
Rob
I was faced with the unfortunate situation we all dread and fear for which is a story for another day. I faced a situation I was clueless about, when my phone rang back and Peter Mihailidis was on the other end. I knew I was in the right care immediately. Peter went the extra mile at every step. He fought for me and was armed and ready with providing me the best possible outcome.
I can’t thank Peter enough for his help, support, guidance and paving knowledge of the law to get me in the position I am today 20 months later.
He was focused and knowledgeable and knew what to do every step of the way. I had complete confidence in Peter when I saw
His passion and determination to his clients. If you are looking for a lawyer, that does not just get the job done, but goes above and beyond, whilst ensuring not a “good outcome” but the “best outcome” look no further. Peter Mihailidis has given me a second opportunity and chance at life. Thank you so much for everything once again.
In a time when emotions are high I cannot thank Peter enough.
Probably the most stressfull time of my life and allthough it was costly a good result was obtained.
Now my stress has returned to a normal level and everything that Peter explained has now happened. It is like he is a clarvoiant.
Once again thanks for your help and putting up with me.
Don't be fooled by their advertising.
Don't be fooled by the advertising - this company does not care about you - "better on your side" simply means that they can access your money. This company took on my matter, advising the other side that they were acting on my behalf but then when they determined that I could not pay $20,000 UP FRONT, they dropped me instantly even though I can easily afford regular retainer amounts.
Their Principal Lawyer Christina - even after many requests to call me, only ever spoke to me once and that was during the intial consultation stage where she gleaned what my matter was financially worth to her. $20k UP FRONT?? What a joke.
Go elsewhere - you'll get much better service from people that really do care and significantly cheaper.

Seeing as Oxford wish to try and defend their reputation by outlining EVERYTHING that occurred. I will in fact edit my review.
Yes, what you say did occur, I do not deny it and I am not a legal firm so I have not documented everything. Bravo to you for outlining it all. A review is a review, if you are dissatisfied with the review than maybe you need to listen to potential ex clients and rectify the matter. Is a secretary not there for just that, handing out information.
I am entitled to ask questions to satisfy my final decision before being locked into a contract. Is this what you do to your clients, pressure them? Is that the point you are arguing. Would you like me to applaud you for answering my questions for free?
My argument is the false and misleading information. I was told I would receive calls from Christina, and those calls were not received. If I am going to pay a lawyer over $700 an hour for a very personal and life changing time of my life, I want to be sure I am choosing the best fit.
This was not the case with Christina not once returning my calls as I was advised.
This is my experience as a client, accept it and don’t debate it. You are not in my shoes as a single parent trying everything to protect her son.
All Oxford Partners did, was validate that they are all for money and not for their clients.
Thanks
I had originally given them 5 stars based on my free consult with Christina, but I do wish I now took the 1 star reviews into account.
The consultation went well, I was sent documents in a timely manner, however the fees Christina advised me of the phone were soon changed and in a matter of a day I was sent an email with a hike in their fees. Red flag one.
With anxiety in taking the next step I had a few questions I wanted to ask Christina for peace of mind. I had called a few times and always told Christina would call back and never did, I then resulted to emails and her receptionist I am assuming responded (which is fine).
I still had questions I was desperate for Christina to answer however and still with each call made a return call never happened. Last week I tried one final time to call and again was told Christina was on a call and would call me back soon. Again, no phone call back.
The following day I sent an email saying it was disappointing always being told Christina would call and nothing would happen, only to them receive a reply email saying they are at full capacity and cannot tend to my matter.
So on account of Oxford Partners, and their lack of returning phone calls it has now resulted in basically screwing me over. The lengthy time waited and wasted.
I responded with an email saying how disheartening it was, do you think a response has been made. No.
Do not waste your time.

Dear Krystal,
Your account of what has occurred is entirely inaccurate and unfair, so we feel compelled to now respond and clarify what actually occurred.
You had an initial free 30 minute consultation with Christina on 24 February 2025. Subsequent to that, you provided a five star review, so you seemed quite happy with us at that point.
Following your free consultation, you sent numerous emails, which we again responded to, with detailed legal advice, again for free. At no point had you signed your retainer, however, we continued to provide free legal advice as a gesture of goodwill.
We note that our retainer was sent to you on 24 February (the same day we first spoke to you) however, you, still to this day (now being in May), have not signed or returned that document, despite the fact we went above and beyond in providing you with free legal advice.
It should be noted that when our administrative staff contacted you in March 2025, you essentially stated that you were still “solicitor shopping”
and required more time to consider your options.
Lastly, in February 2025, we provided all of our clients with charge out rate update letters regarding our fees. This was not specifically aimed at you. We are not sure why you have come to this conclusion.
We were completely frank, honest, and upfront regarding our fees and we would suggest you go back to the detailed email that was sent to you on 27 February 2025, explaining what your fees may look like going forward.
We provided significant free advice to you and believed that you appreciated it at the time. Evidently, you did not.
To now complain that you did not receive more free legal advice is frankly unfair.
If you do require free legal advice in the future, and if that is the primary reason you have been calling us, might we suggest that you contact Victoria Legal Aid instead, who might be able to assist you in this regard, as we are a private law firm, which does not undertake legal aid work.

I put in an enquiry online and it took them just over a week to get back to me. It was close to the holiday period after that. I can only review them based on communication, as I did not use them. So 2 stars for communication. They called me back after my enquiry, did some initial questions, but they don’t actually bother letting you know whether they have capacity to take your case or not or whether you should go elsewhere. They just leave you hanging. No one ever called or emailed me back after the initial call. Perhaps that is standard practice. Not worth their time so they don’t bother informing you either. Haven’t heard from them since the initial call and clearly I wasn’t worth their time.

Dear Zainab,
Thank you for your review.
We note that your enquiry came through to our office on 12 December 2024. Our administration team contacted you immediately, without success. We were then able to reach you on 13 December 2024.
You were informed that if we had capacity, that one of our solicitors would call you back. You agreed and then proceeded with the enquiry process.
Whilst we offer free initial 30-minute consultations, you must appreciate we are a privately funded firm and not Legal Aid.
There are several government organisations, such as Victoria Legal Aid and various Community Legal Centres that will provide such a free service.
Unfortunately, there are some days that we are at capacity and unable to call back every single person who would like our assistance. We hope that you can appreciate our position and wish you well for the future.
