I would like the recommend Optimal Spine to anyone who suffers from pain the neck, headaches and back pain. I am a professional viola player and I have been suffering from headaches and tingling in my arms. After few sessions with Michael - the most amazing chiropractor and Anna - a fantastic physiotherapist I feel so much better and my pain all over my back and neck is gone.

Spine correction
I just had my first check after the start of the spin posture treatment and I was delighted with the amazing results. From the before and after photos, you can see a big difference and I feel healthier, fitter, more energetic and I have better blood circulation. I also enjoy the location of the clinic in chiswick and have taken the opportunity to enjoy the local shops, cafes and restaurants during my visits. Both DC Mikael Porath Petersen and Ann are experts in their field and are very knowledgeable Also, the staff are very friendly and always ready to help. This is honestly the best thing I have done recently.
I injured my back at work while lifting some chairs, and after five sessions with Mikael, all the pain was gone. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and really good at what he does. I felt comfortable and well taken care of throughout the whole process. Highly recommended!
I found Optimal Spine through a recommendation after suffering from back pain for a year with no real help from the NHS. Despite X-rays and a referral to a surgical team, six months later I still hadn’t received an appointment. I’d also tried physiotherapists and osteopaths, but nothing worked.
From my very first visit, I was impressed by Mikael’s can-do attitude. He carried out a thorough assessment, including photographs, X-rays, and detailed measurements, and immediately spotted an obvious spinal abnormality that even the surgeon I’d seen previously had missed. Mikael clearly explained what was wrong and outlined a three-pronged treatment plan: manipulation, traction, and exercise over a six-week period, along with orthotics to help correct my gait.
It wasn’t easy, but it worked. As a wise person once said, heaven is the absence of pain - and that’s exactly how I feel now. Mikael and his team are wonderful: professional, friendly, and incredibly thorough. They run a tight ship and genuinely care about their patients.
It does require effort and commitment on your part: time, consistency, and yes, some expense (though their prices are very reasonable). Years of moving incorrectly can’t be fixed in just one or two sessions.
I still need some ongoing treatment, but the main problem is now under control, and I can finally sleep through the night for the first time in a year. I’m in heaven - and Mikael and his team have truly got your back (sorry, couldn’t resist!).
The "adjustments" that are performed here are not helpful but detrimental. The human body simply doesn't work that way. Forcing the body in such a crude and brutal way will simply inflict further damage and have you visiting a qualified physiotherapist in the end, which is what I had to do. The physiotherapist told me that they get many patients off that back of these chiropractic methods simply because of the damage that is caused. The whole feel of the place gave the impression that they feed off of peoples' desperation and frustration with whatever musculoskeletal aliment they have, giving these crude solutions such as "your back bends a little this way, so let's just click all your bones for 2 minutes, then bend you the other way for 7 minutes". Again, the body doesn't work that way. Please avoid and seek professional physiotherapy.
The reception staff are warm, organized, and make scheduling appointments effortless. The clinic itself is spotless, calm, and equipped with excellent facilities.
My physiotherapist took the time to really listen and understand my issue rather than rushing through. Their knowledge and attention to detail are incredible, every session was tailored to my needs and progress. They explained each exercise clearly, made sure I was doing them correctly, and adjusted the plan as I improved.
After just a few sessions, I noticed a huge difference in my mobility and pain levels. What really stood out was the genuine passion they have for helping people recover.
If you’re looking for a physiotherapy clinic that combines professionalism, compassion, and real results this is the place to go.

I got into Optimal Spine after recommendation for recovery from an injury. After meeting Mikael and initial assessment a plan was laid out, integrating different therapies in order to reach an expedite full recovery. Therapy was integrated (and worked together) with a physiotherapist who worked with me step-by-step adding sessions and exercises tailored to me and focused on recovering my strength. Welcoming staff and plenty of appointment flexibility, with no issue in booking time/day best suitable for me. Now approaching the end of my treatment, can most definitely recommend Optimal Spine.
