We thoroughly enjoyed working with Alex at Out of the Woods. He helped us select the perfect countertops for our small remodel job. Alex even came out to our house to make sure we would like the countertop selection that we made. The countertop installers were also great to work with and that was Cody and John. On a sidenote, when the installers came, they made comment about the wonderful cabinets we had. They didn’t know that Out of the Woods had made them 21 years ago.

I regret hiring Out of the Woods for my cabinets and countertops. The installers damaged my cabinets, drilled unnecessary holes, and failed to measure properly, which forced me to buy new faucets and pay my plumber twice. They even installed the wrong countertop and pressured me into accepting cabinets I didn’t want. Instead of addressing their mistakes, they sent me a lien threat prior to sending the invoice. Unprofessional, careless, and deeply disappointing — I would never recommend them.

We addressed the installation issues, we offered to replace the countertop selection, you refused and a discount was given instead, and made accommodations based on your feedback. At no point was it our intention to pressure you into decisions or to be unprofessional in our communication. The lien notice you referenced was a standard pre-lien notice required by state law and is sent automatically as part of our billing process—it was not intended as a threat and was issued prior to invoice as required.

We take customer concerns seriously and continuously strive to improve our service. We regret that, despite our efforts to make things right, you remain dissatisfied.

Timber Ridge Fireplace 2025.07.18

     

We have been working with Out of the Woods on several big projects for our Fireplace Store. When our customers want not only Custom, but unique, Mantles, Shelves and complete Custom Built In Cabinets. We have found that OOTW is high quality, detailed and gets the job done. We just had Out of the Woods do a complete overhaul of our kitchen. We are so happy with the result. Ted was so good to sit down with me and plan out how we could make my kitchen more functional and convenient. He even came out to our house a couple of times to make sure his plan would work. They completed our new cabinets and countertop very timely and were so good to work with our Contractor so that everything went smoothly. They worked together to make our 60 year old kitchen new and lots more roomy. Now we get to enjoy a new beautiful kitchen. Thanks Out of the Woods! You made our dreams come true! We had a great experience with out of the woods from start to finish. Professional work and good communication from Lorissa (most was through text which was super helpful). They did a great job aligning the veins in the quarts so it all looked seamless. Went into the store to pick out the product we wanted, they sent someone to do laser measurements a few days later which took less then a hour, and the actual install a week or so later only took about 3 hours. Highly recommend their business!

Absolutely thrilled with how the cabinets turned out. We had previously sought out two other companies for quotes. One was extremely overpriced and the other never got back to us. Our third company, Out of the woods, was everything we needed. Ryan came out and did an amazing job piecing together our wants/needs, offered suggestions I didn’t know was an option, and he also worked to get it done on our timeline. The customer service was top notch, the cabinet quality is superior, and we were left feeling like every penny spent was worth it. We’ve had the cabinets now for two months and I have zero regrets.

I purchased countertops and sinks for my bathrooms so I had the pleasure to work with Dawni and had some phone calls with David. Their cabinets were half the price of other companies I got estimates from for my home and their countertops were $3,000 less. The minor repairs that needed to be fixed during or after installation was taken care of immediately. Highly recommend.
