Beautiful, peaceful location with stunning views, though a little remote ☺The property was absolutely beautiful. The garden, beach and mountain views were stunning, and the location was calm, peaceful and perfect for a relaxing stay. ☹The nearest Tesco or Aldi is around 30 minutes away, and although home delivery was advertised, there were no delivery slots available during our stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but they felt a little enclosed and became quite warm at night, even with the cooler autumn weather outside.

Wonderfully relaxing week with superb views of the loch. ☺Fabulous views, log fire and everything we needed in the kitchen including the dishwasher. ☹Lighting over the dinner table and more medium sized glasses but these are minor points.

Overall disappointing, will not recommend the Captains Quarters at Melfort pier & harbour. ☹The accommodation was not like the advert, photos to show this point. It was 18 miles to the centre, not on the advert as you can see. There is no beach just large rocks. The property was connected to the reception, so you were woken up every morning with loud talking, laughing & a dog barking. So could not enjoy a long lie in.

Absolutely loved this place! Hazel was amazing from the minute we booked, we had great communication from directions to the house to local amenities and things to do. Hazel was so friendly and polite and an absolute joy to stay with. We originally planned to only stay for 2nights but within minutes of arriving decided we wanted to stay longer, contacted Hazel who immediately arranged for the extra days for us :) 1000000% recommend Melfort Pier & Harbour to anyone looking for a break to blow the cobwebs away or even just for the scenic views :) we will be back again!! Thank you Hazel 😊

Our stay was excellent, the property was superb, spotlessly clean and well equipped. ☺The location was excellent, picturesque and peaceful. We bought supplies prior to arrival as recommended by host Hazel as the nearest town of Oban was a 30 minute drive away for supermarkets. Hazel was a fabulous host and is a credit to the company.

Idilic location to go and unwind with a stunning loch and sea view! ☺The view from our property which was the anchorage was spectacular. The property was secluded and to have your own personal sauna in your apartment was a bit special. Finished to a nice standard ☹My only criticism is that the apartment above, we heard every footstep as they stomped about like elephants! However when the cleaners were in after they left and they were moving about the noise was substantially quieter.

Underwhelming. ☺View from the deck once you had swatted away the midges. ☹Too many other properties shoe horned together with kids & people on their deck looking directly into our adjoining the master bedroom windows. Uncomfortable mattress. Hard uncomfortable settees, strange layout and lots of loose wire to towel rails and the electric fire. Confusing, because the Keys are numbered but units are named, requiring a visit to the reception door (which closes at 5pm) to find what name corresponds to the room number one is given. Even then it’s not very clear.

Mermaid cottage, Merford Pier and Harbour Resort ☺Good location, and quiet. Comfortable bed and good shower. ☹Staff on reception was unhelpful and short when issue with televisions raised, not interested and made to feel that we didn't want to go near reception again. Better checks on cooking utensils and chipped crockery. Also no wiping/ washing cloth or dustpan . Towels in one of the bedrooms were too small and different in size to other bedroom towels.
