Great idea for a strap.
When the hook unhooks while securing something it’s a pain, they fixed that.
Storing a strap so it’s ready to go takes a few seconds and these have a small bungie attached to fix that. Lastly a knob helps with threading the strapping into the rachet as well as controlling the release when you pop it loose.

It's been awhile since I need to use the strap, and it performed flawless. So much easier to use than the old school straps, always jamming and catching... Sometimes catching my finger :-0.

Why aren’t all ratchet straps made this way?
Some of the best products are the simplest solutions to annoying problems. These straps are a perfect example of that! The “extra hand” hooks to hold the main hooks in place are a game changer! The only thing that could make these better is some way to making winding up the excess strap easier, but I can’t imagine how to actually do such a thing.

Turn the knob when setting up and it automatically stops with the slot aligned to put the strap through. A new way to handle an old challenge.
I run a sound company and I use the Omega straps to secure speaker cabinets so they are secure on windy days. I also have a plastering company and I use the Omega straps to secure expensive machines and products in cargo trailers. I've used the old style for years, frustrating as they can be. These new ones are SO much easier to use. The little wire by the hook is very helpful to hold the hook in place while getting the strap ready to ratchet. Probably the biggest help is the knob to get the ratcheting started. It Makes getting the process started so easy. No more racking my knuckles on steel scaffolding trying to get the ratcheting started. I also really like the bag they come in, nice to have a way to store them. I like the way they took something old and made all these improvements. I currently have 4 sets, use them all the time and Love them!

Easy and dependable
I have owned several ratchet straps over the years and the Omega Strap is by farthe easiest and most dependable strap I’ve used. The knob makes it easy to thread the strap through without any trouble and the strap folds up when not in use. By far the best medium duty strap on the market.
