Wonderful day with Omar! We had a wonderful tour with Omar! He took us to the mineral waters ,Hierve el Agua, where we had a short hike to the pools and dipped our feet in the water. The highlight was going to visit his friends home, Ray and Julissa, where they make beautiful tapestries and yummy chocolate. omar was very flexible and did not rush us at all. Highly recommend Omar as a guide and a visit to Huella Carmen, the artisans home.

Loved Our Tour with Omar Rito - 5 stars+ Our group of five senior citizens spent an amazing week traveling around Oaxaca and our favorite day, hands down, was spent with Omar Rito. From the minute he picked us up in the morning until he dropped us off twelve hours later, we enjoyed every aspect of our private tour. Omar has a great personality, warm and calm with a wonderful smile, and we all felt very comfortable with him. He is organized, professional, attentive and flexible. His van is new, comfortable, and he drives very well (which I appreciated). His spoken English is fantastic and he was able to converse on any topic we chose - personal, politics, arts, science, environment, economy, you name it. He drove us first to Hierve el Agua, stopping for an authentic (and tasty) breakfast at a small family-owned roadside restaurant (Comedor Citlali). The hike and mineral pools at Hierve el Agua are beautiful - Omar kept a good pace for us and allowed us time to rest when we needed it. From there we visited the archeological site of Mitla where Omar shared his extensive knowledge about the history and construction of this national treasure. After a delicious lunch at Rancho Zapata, we visited the lovely family of artisans at Huella Carmin (shout out to Ray David and Julisa) where we had fantastic workshops in natural wool spinning and dying, rug and textile weaving, and Oaxacan chocolate making. We spent many pesos buying their high quality goods, all at great prices. As I said to Omar at the end of the day, he really hit it out of the ballpark with our tour. The husbands, the wives, the friends, we all loved it. Thank you, Omar!

Superb, top notch service A group of 7 of us hired as a private service Oaxaca Experience Tours for airport transfers, a city walking tour and 2 other day long tours of the Oaxaca region. The initial arrangements were made electronically and by phone and payment was processed using a credit card system that they use. Everything was seamless. Omar (driver) and Angel (tour guide) provided us with the requested services and was top notch. We had a large essentially new van all to ourselves and during the tours Angel was very accommodating to our requests. Angel is very knowledgeable about the regions history and customs so we truly enjoyed having him as a tour guide. In addition, Angel was fully prepared as he had walking sticks and hats for those of us that had forgotten them. Can't ask for anything more. Five star service all the way, 100% recommend!

Omar is the best! Oaxaca Experience Tours came recommended by a friend who lives in Oaxaca. Omar was an incredible tour guide. He was happy to speak English or Spanish, and from the moment we met him he felt like an old friend. His history of Oaxaca and the surrounding areas is immense, and his food recommendations were wonderful. We packed a lot into two days, but never felt rushed. The vehicles we traveled in were clean and comfortable, and Omar always had water and even snacks to share with our entire group. I couldn’t recommend his company enough, and if I ever go back to Oaxaca I hope to see them again!

Experienced, Professional, Personable We enjoyed two full-day tours with Oaxaca Experience Tours. Everything went smoothly. Omar is a licensed guide, knowledgeable about all the major points of interest, and many hidden gems. Knowledgeable about the history, archeology, anthropology, modern culture, local cuisine, and more about Oaxaca. He and his brother-in-law? also Omar are each excellent drivers, calm, safe, and include luxury vans or mini-vans to travel in, depending on your group size. You can either delegate a general tour to his recommendations and/or tell him what kinds of things interest you. He came recommended by a local anthropologist that we know. We now also recommend Oaxaca Experience Tours.

Oaxaca day trip My husband and I spent the day with Omar, visiting Monte Alban and Vives Verde. Taking nothing away from the beautiful weaving in the area, I told Omar we were most interested in alebrijes. We visited two homes in Arrozola and found several fantastic(al) pieces to take home. I had done quite a bit of research before we left and these workshops were not on my radar. Let Omar know what you’re interested in and he will do everything possible to make it work!

Omar + Omar for the win! Omar was an excellent tour guide. He took us on a tour to Monte Alban, El Arbol de Tule, in Jardin botanical (I forget the name), and almuerzo (lunch). Sorry about my bad Spanish! I got a bit car sick on the smaller roads but it wasn't the fault of the driver (also Omar), he was great, too. They were very nice about it and didn't make me feel bad when I need to stop and get out for a bit. Omar was very knowledgeable about Monte Alban and I definitely learned more than I would have on my own. Plus, I would have never thought to stop at the Tule Tree (widest in the world) or the cool art garden or the charming lunch spot, where we had a buffet of moles and other stuff. I think the price was fair for a full day trip with a guide and a driver. We had six people, so it might be less with an even bigger group. The van was quite large.

Top-Notched Tours! Omar is a top-notched, professional tour guide. He's speaks clear English and is very knowledgeable. We traveled in a comfortable air-conditioned van which had a cooler with water and snacks. Our group of friends took two all-day trips to Monte Alban as well as Mitla and Hierve el Agua.At Monte Alban, he shared fascinating information. Afterwards, we went to an authentic Oaxacan small-town buffet restaurant with amazing, authentic buffet. A highlight was strolling through a magical, private garden with sculptures made from recycled objects. On another trip, we went to Mitla Caves and Omar arranged for a local guide. We saw ancient cave petraglyphs and learned about the culture. Afterwards, we had lunch at an adorable local restaurant, then went to Mitla and Hierve el Agua. We loved our tours and definitely recommend him!
