My first tour with Nyonkopa Tours was soo memorable! As someone who travels to Ghana often, I was very interested in a tour guide for some of the sites I have not been to (Cocoa farm and Asenema falls). I came across Nyonkopa tours while doing a google search. Kweku was an amazing tour guide. Very friendly and informative. He was also very communicative prior to the tour day which was a great addition. I highly recommend for your trip to Ghana!

It was a fabulous tour. Our tour guide was very thoughtful. He had a very friendly demeanor and he made the long road trips go by quickly with great conversation about the sites we were visiting and about Ghanaian culture. I would highly recommend it. Me and my 7-year-old son had a great time.
This was, by far, the best tour I’ve ever had. Honestly, my driver and tour guide, Kofi, went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, comfortable, and safe throughout the entire experience. He was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and thoughtful.
This was my first time visiting Ghana. Both of my parents are Ghanaian, but I was born and raised in Los Angeles. From the moment I arrived, I felt such a deep connection to the land—it truly felt like I had never left.
The Nkyinkyim Museum was the highlight of my trip. The work, history, and space were absolutely beautiful and deeply moving. It is truly a must-see when visiting Ghana.
I’m so grateful to Kofi for making my first trip to Ghana so meaningful and unforgettable. I couldn’t recommend this tour more!

A Good Experience
**Accra Day Tour with Kweku 🇬🇭** I did a day tour of Accra with Kweku, and overall, it was a good experience. **Planning & Communication:** Kweku confirmed our tour about a week in advance and communicated our pickup time clearly. He also reached out the day before to confirm our pickup location. He was punctual, well-prepared, and ready to get the day started on time. **Vehicle & Accommodations:** The vehicle had air conditioning, which was definitely appreciated on a hot day in Accra. While it wasn't quite what I'm accustomed to, it was reasonable and comfortable enough for getting around the city and visiting the various stops on our itinerary. **Knowledge & Information:** Kweku was informative and knowledgeable about Accra and the historical sites we visited. He provided information along the way and was happy to answer any additional questions we had after each stop. Because it was such a hot day, I especially appreciated Kweku taking photos for us at some of the historical sites and locations that were directly exposed to the sun. That was a thoughtful touch! Navigating through the market could be overwhelming, but Kweku did a great job of keeping us moving at a good pace. This allowed us to experience and see a lot while also helping us avoid getting caught up in the crowds and the many street vendors. Most importantly, we felt safe throughout the experience. **Overall Experience:** I would recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore Accra. Although meals were not included, Kweku was accommodating and took the time to allow me to sit down and enjoy lunch at the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park. Overall, it was a good experience at a fair price. Kweku was punctual, knowledgeable, accommodating, and made sure we were comfortable and safe throughout the day. If you're looking for a reasonably priced way to see and learn more about Accra, I would recommend booking a tour with Kweku.

Absolutely Excellent!
This was the tour I was most looking forward to on my trip to Accra. After a City Tour and a trip to the Cape Coast, I was excited to see this beautiful, meaningful, powerful art work. Kweku picked me up at my hotel in the morning, and we were off to Nkyinkyim. We chatted most of the way there about Ghana- it's history, culture, government, etc. Kweku was happy to answer any questions I had and he told me about the different areas we were passing through. When we arrived at the museum, one of the artisans working in the collective gave me a tour of the grounds, work, and exhibits. I was also lucky enough to get to see their work on a privately commissioned piece that was breathtaking. Walking through the spiritual gardens and hearing about the meaning behind the work, as well as the incredible wall murals, was wonderful. From there, we went to PramPram to see the African Ancestral Wall, where the designer's 15 year old daughter explained the significance of each of the 92 people portrayed. As a high school teacher, I was amazed at her knowledge. We had a great follow-up conversation about the work. Afterward, it was back to Accra. This was a perfect way to spend the day and a ncie way to cap off my visit to Ghana.

Don’t miss the falls!
Thoroughly enjoyed this trip. The falls were the highlight as we went during the rainy season when they were in full force - incredible place. Really enjoyed the botanical gardens as well. Make sure to take some small notes to tip the villagers at the Umbrella rock. Great communication from our guide and driver, and despite someone driving into the back of our car, they kept calm and we always felt safe. Highly recommend!

Where do I start? Christian arrived a bit late, but he truly redeemed himself throughout our amazing tour! Our first stop was James Town, where he shared fascinating insights into the history behind its name. Next, we visited the bustling market, a vibrant hub where Ghanaians sell delicious local foods, unique goods, and colorful clothing.Christian made sure we navigated through quickly and safely, even helping us negotiate great deals at one of the souvenir shops. Our third stop was the Dr. Kwame Nkrumah Museum, where a knowledgeable guide told us inspiring stories about Ghana's first president and his impact on the nation. Then, we visited the iconic Black Star Square, with Christian providing us more intriguing history about Ghana's symbols. Our final destination was the W.E.B. Du Bois Center, a truly enriching experience. Overall, this was an incredible private tour despite the slight hiccup at the start. I highly recommend Christian as a guide—if you want to dive deep into the rich history of Accra and Ghana, he's the one to choose!

We were on a cruise ship and had limited time to see what we wanted to see. Prior to the tour, Kweku communicated what our best options were and he was right. We visited the two castles and had amazing tours there. On the drive to the castles, we learned so much about Ghana and the area. He was so knowledgeable and the driver was great too. We wanted to try some authentic African food so we stopped for a bite on the way back to the ship. It was great! This was truly a personalized tour and by the end we felt like family. I highly recommend booking a shore excursion through Nyonkopa Eco Tours.

Het was een heel indrukwekkende plek, helaas begon het te stortregenen en konden we niet rustig wandelen. Het restaurant bleek helaas dicht te zijn, dat was ook jammer, en dat werd niet gecommuniceerd door de gids. Onze gids was heel aardig en behulpzaam, ter plekke hadden we een andere gids. Een tip voor de gids: Paraplu’s of poncho’s bij zich hebben
Really enjoyed this tour company. Nyomkopa took great care of us. We were guided by Koti . First we went to Cape Coast Castle, then we went to Kakum Canopy Walk. It was a social day for us as we also had a friend from US who is working in Ghana join the tour. Thank you for creating some beautiful memories for us

I had a great time. We had pickup and drop off from our ship in Takoradi. Our drive to the Cape Coast was very scenic. This tour was very educational and interesting. It was very interesting to learn about all of the history behind Ghana and it’s beautiful culture.

It was my first time visiting Ghana and I couldn’t be more grateful for the attentive and kind service I got from Nyonkopa. They helped me with the visa on arrival process and tailored the tour to my needs, I had an amazing experience in a few days, I learned a lot about Ghana culture, explored Accra, tried local food in very authentic places, visited the Nkyinkyim museum and the fantasy coffins stores. I am giving this tour three stars based primarily on my interaction with the tour owner. The night before the tour, I confirmed my 7:00 a.m. hotel pickup with the operator via WhatsApp. The next morning, at 7:05 a.m., I called three times with no answer. I then contacted Viator, who also received no response and stated they would follow up by email.
At 7:44 a.m., the operator finally contacted me to apologize, explaining that he had misplaced his phone and that the driver was waiting at the wrong hotel. After exchanging messages and providing proof of my reservation showing the correct hotel, I was told the driver would arrive within five minutes—which, due to Accra traffic, turned into about 30 minutes.
While I did not expect a full refund, I did feel some compensation for the delay and confusion was warranted. I was offered $17 USD, which I ultimately declined out of frustration.
The tour guide, Isaac, communicated that he was stuck in traffic and arrived around 8:30 a.m. He was very apologetic, friendly, and made the rest of the day enjoyable. He was engaging, assisted with photos and translations, drove safely, and provided bottled water.
Although I would not recommend this tour due to the owner’s lack of communication, the Botanical Gardens and Boti Waterfalls are definitely worth visiting—just perhaps with a different company at a better price.
Tip: Even if you don’t plan to swim, bring a swimsuit for photos in the water. There is a changing area available.
