Dr Francisco Carlos has made a huge difference in my dental prognosis which was quite bleak. I was in danger of losing two implants due to bone loss, but he skillfully and patiently replaced the bone so I can have full use of my lower jaw.
He was extremely kind, polite and provided informative details on procedures and future care.

A painless experience thanks to a well organized operation from the time you enter the reception area until Dr. Gouldin finishes his end of the procedure. The procedure itself and the aftercare are explained in detail including access to the parking garage. The staff is both friendly and professional.

I have been seeing Dr. Gouldin since they opened their Alexandria office. I did with him several procedures, and I am considering more. His periodontal practice is of the highest quality. His assistants are also extremely good.

I've been a patient of Northern Virginia Periodontics for several years after they saved my gums from an unexpected infection.
The Old Town location is perfect. I love being able to walk to the office for my appointments (they validate parking for those of you driving). I haven't had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Gouldin but both Dr. Carlos and Dr. Gohel are excellent with great recliner-side manner. Each was very knowledgeable and patient (with answering all my questions).
The office is spotless and each examination room has state-of-the-art equipment and IQ Air purifiers. The front desk staff are wonderful, which is a rarity for medical offices. Shoutout to Jennie and Andrea who are always welcoming and extremely responsible (providing multiple text and voice reminders for upcoming appointments). All my insurance claims are submitted after each appointment and I've never had an issue with billing.
The hygienists are capable and thorough. Parisa was amazing, but unfortunately is no longer with the office. Kimberly is excellent, and my teeth felt fantastic after a periodontal cleaning with her.
In short, make sure you come here for all your periodontal needs!

Dr. Gouldin, his associates, and his staff are a Northern Virginia treasure. Dr. Gouldin's clinical and academic mastery of surgical periodontics and implantology is among the best I've seen. Additionally, he has mastered modern instrument techniques for optimal care. The professional and caring office staff are outstanding as well. If you're several miles away, his offices are worth the drive. If you're nearby, consider yourself lucky.

I have been going to Northern Virginia Periodontics in Old Town forever. They are the Best!!! All of the staff are true professionals-courteous, respectful, always seem happy to see you, clean offices-the list goes on and on.(Also, they always send their patients a Happy Birthday email-super nice touch) Anyone needing periodontic work, I super highly recommend them!!!

I would like to give both Jenny and Dr. Gouldin praise for my experience. It definitely took a while but they both were patient with me and explained what to expect. I had implant surgery and everything went very well. Jenny answered a lot of questions and was always willing to talk. Dr. Gouldin was very gentle. I would definitely recommend the practice for this kind of surgery.

I was referred to Dr. Carlos due to some dental issues I was dealing with. Upon meeting him he immediately made me feel comfortable, and I felt that he cared. Dr. Carlos, along with his staff has been nothing less than professional, very friendly, and comforting. During the procedure I was kept comfortable, he checked on me as he went along. The procedure was truly a success. My follow up appointments proved that I was referred to the best periodontist for my dental health at the time. This office is comforting, and friendly when your situation seems a little scary or concerning.
I truly give them a 10 out of 10.
